Advertising of fast food keeps costumers wanting more and more. Anytime costumers see the satisfying sandwich, instantly their mouth waters for the taste of it. Local grocery stores and convenient shops have ads and coupons from the local fast food franchises. The coupons increase the costumers appeal to the restaurant because of a possible discount and full belly. The situation is very ironic because the grocery stores with nutritious food advocates for fast food restaurants that are, in context, competing with their sales.
The company is world-renowned for its golden arches, and a varied menu that includes the Big Mac, McNuggets, and other well-known food items. The restaurants are operated by the company or by independent owners under franchise agreement. The company’s main competitors (in order of sales) are Starbucks, Wendy’s and Burger King, (McDonald’s, 2012). Dalman and Lei are wishing to expand the business, but first they need to conduct a SWOT analysis to determine the strengths, weakness, opportunities and possible threats involved in the expansion.

Currently, the standard American bacon is mass produced in Mexico. Kudler’s challenge was finding an appropriate pricing strategy to be profitable, maintain superior quality, and support local economic factors. I believe that David Zinczenko in his article submitted to the New York Times “Don’t Blame The Eater” makes a good case for how society should be concerned about a generation facing a lifetime of childhood obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart diseases and other related health complications. However I find that I feel personal responsibility should be the governing factor in this matter. Mr. Zinczenko asks in his article “ Shouldn’t we know better than to eat two or more meals a day in a fast food restaurant? ” Yes we should because although specific warning labels aren’t found on fast food packaging we’ve known for years that fast food consumption on a daily basis is hazardous to your health. There’s information readily available about childhood obesity as stated in Zinczenko’s article where he notes that “Before 1994, diabetes in children was generally caused by genetic disorder-only about 5 percent of childhood cases were obesity-related, or Type 2 diabetes.
The Changing America “Where’s the Beef?” This was once a popular phrase in a commercial by Wendy’s about the thinness of McDonald’s hamburger patties. McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Jack-in-The Box, has long been recognized as the major competitors in the fast food industry. The demand for fast food has steadily increased, as more Americans consume more meals outside the home. Consequently, the fast food industry is putting a demand on the beef industry. The fast food restaurants want a constant supply of meat at a competitive price.
