Artists are willing to express their art in society giving us variety of different forms of art to admire and look at it. They allowed us to embrace them in everyday life and really influence what we do. When someone walks down the street in a city and look around you, the influences of art, both old and new, are visible everywhere. This is why art is no longer about a simple painting on the wall or that sculpture in a museum, it is about expressing ourselves in our own unique way. Art is found everywhere in this world such as the web, radio, iPod, or in the architecture of the skyscraper similar to the New York Skyline.
The sculptures were magnificent being able to pay close advertency to the detail. I extremely enjoyed my visit to the DMA and look forward to going back another time. The first piece of artwork I selected was “The Conversion of Saint Paul” by Benjamin West in 1786. This particular work of art is beautiful oil on canvas painting depicting the conversion of St. Paul, one of the fathers of the Christian church. The short caption that I read near the painting
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Tone and diction can be found in any piece of literature. Whether it’s a theme song from a popular TV from the 1990s or a college-application essay, it can be found. Authors often use these two literary techniques to appeal to their audiences. Tone is most often used to encompass a specific attitude on a subject or topic implied to a set audience. Authors create this literary ambiance with the aid of diction.
By portraying kids from a Caribbean island using sugar and photographing this work, he had gained exposure and was chosen by the Museum of Modern Art to its "New Photography" exhibit in 1997. What I like about Vik Muniz is that he uses different materials to produce art works, when people think artist they normally think they can draw and paint but Vik brought another revolution to art, the idea of using materials such as ketchup and sugar to produce a piece of art sold for millions is inspiring, Vik mainly focuses on portraiture, from what I can see from his work he likes to focus on the facial features rather than any scenery. The art work is called “Wasteland” and it has materials that is worn out, torn and found on the floor and i actually love this piece because of its colours and the meaning behind it. Vik has many female figures in his works so that relates to my project as we had to use Vik Muniz’s style to transform an area of the “Guernica” from, I studied the women holding the dead child that is why this piece is relevant to my

Robin Holder: A Layered Perspective Robin Holder, a nationally known artist who works out of her studio in West Milford, New Jersey. Holder has been all around the world and has been an artist for several institutions. Holder uses art to tell her own story, most of which, she’s pointing out things that need to change. Most of her work she collage, she prefers a tiered approach, layering subtle, translucent colors, textures and vignettes, one over the other. Holder's work tends to be organic rather than angular; and she enlivens the two-dimensionality of her compositions with modeled elements.
An artist that left an impression is Jean Grangeon, an artist who incorporated mixed media with bright, vivid colours to grasp the attention of viewers through his impressive masterpieces. I admire him as an artist and many of his art pieces displayed at the the Art Fair because he combines the mediums of acrylic paint, plexiglass, and many other items to compose creative artworks that allow us to discover different messages regarding evolution and human development. Other influences were from family, friends, and peers who shared their unfortunate experience of car crashes/accidents. They also gave me the idea to create the painting using different objects to create the realistic results of a crime scene. In addition, the idea in my piece was developed from watching a variety of television shows, movies, and advertisements that showed the destructive results of car accidents.

How Art Created Culture The function of art in society has been well-known to have many different advantages. Societies learn from art, they tell stories through art, they express ideas through art, and they create legends and icons through art. The power of visual human expression, in paintings, sculptures, and reliefs, moves individuals into thought and action. Even if one is not a visually creative mind, they are still inspired and influenced by the works of art that are commonly seen on a daily basis. The contents of the art, the color, style, and function, create feelings in the individual, create a belief structure, whether spiritual or intellectual.
