While the vinegar passed through the soil leaving more dirty water. Based on what I think, vinegar is saturated and a natural substance while oil is a man made product and a much thicker substance. Oil absorbed the soil leaving the water less contaminated. My conclusion, vinegar was the more potent liquid. Using at least 1 scholarly source, discuss what type of affects these contaminants (oil, vinegar, detergent) might have on a town’s water source and the people who drank the water?
Since the earliest of times, water served as a primary consideration when deciding upon the location of a city. It was a very important part of life and everyone needed it. That why Jerusalem had to have water near it. Evan today the water is a necessary thing to live by.
The Gihon spring served as the primary source of water for Biblical Jerusalem.
h) A way to make hard water softer is to put an sodium nitrate and create a precipitate to mellow out the reaction. Another way of making it softer is by removing the calcium ions one way of doing that is by boiling the solution to take out some of the ions. Conclusion: Overall, we determined that sodium carbonate, Na2CO3, is the anion that can be used to precipitate the most metal cations. Also, we learned that the anion sodium chloride, NaCl, could be used to remove silver ions from solutions. The stuff that I found interesting was that how many colours you can get when you mix the cations and anions
1. Does the body adjust its pH by glomerular filtration, tubular reabsorption or tubular secretion? Explain how it does so. Body adjust its pH by tubular secretion, because hydrogen ions generated by the dissociation分离 of the carbonic acid碳酸 are secreted by sodium-linked counter transport in exchange for Na+ in the tubular fluid and then into the bloodstream, where they help prevent changes in plasma pH. 酸离子是由于碳酸分离而生成的,碳酸是由于sodium-linked counter 跟钠交换得来的。 2.
Oil Sand is a naturally occurring mixture of sand, water, clay, bitumen and other minerals. Bitumen is what we need for oil. As shown in the diagram on the right the sand particles are surrounded by a layer of water which is surrounded by a layer of Bitumen. After we get the oil sands we must separate the sand and water from the Bitumen. Since Bitumen is very heavy and viscous it must be treated so it can be refined and used.
This complex ecosystem is both an extraordinary geological and ecological feature of Florida and encompasses a historic, social, economic, and environmental significance. The IRL is a network of people, places, and natural resources that are inter-dependent upon each other. Unfortunately, the primary threat to this unique ecosystem comes from human population growth as well as coast-line developers. The storm water and sewage run-offs pose significant pollution problems to the ecosystems survival. Today, scientists, and resource managers are concerned about the future of the lagoon, including declines in quality of the water, loss of habitat, biological diversity, invasive species, diminishing fisheries, and the declining of the ecosystem’s health.
This was the overall humanitarian mission known as Operation Sea Signal that had taken place on Guantanimo Bay Cuba, and timeframe for this mission was 1994/95. Once again, the Navy and Coast Guard were joined as primary along with other joint branches were on a mission to enrich the lives of the Cuban and Haitan migrants. The Marine Corps is known for it’s forcible entry, react rapidly, and seizing bases along with assisting other forces on the ground such as the Army’s ground operations. When the Army and Marine Forces fall under a JFLCC, they are known for their powerful
As they explained that they used wet clay to write down the information then set aside to dry I couldn’t help but to be thankful for the use of writing forms we have now. Paper is and will always be useful and we don’t take the time to really understand that and its developments. Anyways, knowing that the Sumerians, which were the cause of the first written languages, help me understand that it wasn’t any transhistorical links to the Cuneiform; the whole idea of writing down data derived from their
Stalagmites and Stalactites The stalactites and stalagmites are rock formations found that occur in limestone caves. The rain water seeping through the rock and water that evaporates inside the cave, make the roof of the cave wet, this moisture slowly precipitated again dragging some minerals. Stalactites are formed from rainwater. Rainwater is very acidic even without the pollution in the air. When it rains, tiny raindrops are formed.
The Consumption of Water in Young Individuals During the process of growing up, it is important for young individuals to consume a lot of water. In order to stay healthy, children and teenagers should drink a certain amount of water every day. While working in a Nursing home, I have learned many benefits of drinking water and what can occur when enough isn't consumed. Water is the most important need for young bodies to function correctly. It is needed to perform daily activities and to keep bodies in motion.
