homas Leo Clancy Jr. is an American author. Known For detailed espionage and military science story lines set during and in the aftermath of the cold war. He sold two million copies of his first printing in the 1990’s. He also received an honorary doctorate in humane letters and delivered the commencement address at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in 1992. Tom Clancy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 12, 1947.
