My City: Bihac The word city is not an ordinary word. We can define this concept from various aspects. A city can be defined by its size, population, location and so on. Most of them a city is considered an urban area that is hip and technological. For many Bihac is a small city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by its charm may be viewed as a secret town of beauty, its resources, schools, jobs, houses and transportation make it as a city. Population of Bihac is about 100,000 people, has a charm unlike no other city. When looking at a city’s beauty it is important to acknowledge our history of the city, changes in the city, how we know the city, and what the city means to us. Bihac has been around since the 12 hundreds and is in the northwestern Bosnia. It was once controlled by the Ottoman Empire and because of it has many Islamic customs, religion and culture similarities. The city has been a center of many important historic meeting and a crossroad to many places. What makes this city special besides its history of being is its history as know by me. History of our city should be an inspiration to the future of the idea of Aquarius, and the present obsession. Many things need to change and improve in every city to keep it fresh and maintained. When we walk down the street we are often seduced by the appearance of a new street, color or beauty of the facade of the new building, or simply a statue representing a city hero. The upgrades in the city keep us interested and fascinates by the many faces of our city, making us never want to leave. Although change is good it needs to be moderate, after all what we love about our city is that we know it inside and out and every house, crack on the street and school has a special memory for us. For me Bihac is one of those places, it is a city of my birth
