Tinashe James Sibenge 100138679 09/13/2012 English 1301 Writing Assignment BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED Twice a year , every semester at the Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS), in the capital of Zambia, Lusaka city, takes place a soccer tournament amongst all the faculties studied there. Many rivalries have sprung up over the course of the tournaments’ history, but non bigger than the one between my faculty Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The game always produced exhilarating results both in my time of involvement and before, however, nothing like the match that took place on September 6, 2011, the best game I ever played. Regardless of the stalemate, we still came out as victors because of the heroics I and my team displayed by not giving up. The first to arrive on the soccer pitch and their captain, I rallied the players like an army drill sergeant does to his troopers on the first day of boot camp, to stretch, do the warm up sprints, and finally sharpen their ball control skills before the match. While focused in our pre-match drills our arch rivals then showed up, in their brightly colored green and yellow bus vibrantly singing along to the tune of loud rap music emanating from the music system. They got out of their bus, put on their gear and got into their 4-4-2 formation, a common formation we used too. Illustrated, the formation possessed two strikers whose job mainly involved scoring goals. . Four midfielders whose job mainly included creating opportunities for the strikers, score goals and support defenders too. Finally four defenders, that took up the responsibility for pre venting attackers and midfielders from scoring and creating opportunities respectively. As the game
