By working as a team you can gain valuable knowledge from those who are more experienced than you, but it also allows you to suggest newer and fresher ways to approach learning. Each member or person has their own skill and expertise, communicating with them helps you to learn, build up your own knowledge and know your own responsibilities.By working as a team you will also learn to trust and respect your colleagues, build relationships and build your own confidence. Problems can be shared and solutions can be discussed or suggested. You can learn new skills, take better responsibility of your own role and achieve your end goal more effectively. Teamwork sets a good example to others especially children and shows them they are surrounded by people who they can trust and respect. When adults are working effectively together and are working as part of a team, the children will see them as role models and will follow, copy and mimic what they see, To a parent this shows that the school are setting a good
The project team happens to become a creation of several highly imaginatively intelligent groups of people that are formed to collaborate with each other and strive at creating more diverse ideas, or putting a different take on some of the many already formed ideas and the opinions of those more diverse ideas. The collegial model works flawlessly when each member is able to be independent, but equally share management responsibilities or work out a specific rotation that meets each individuals peer or colleagues needs. The need or want for freedom or independence in the aforementioned paragraph has little merit when they must come together to satisfy matters that affect the entire group.
Widespread use of external sources and advisors e.g. customers on planning teams. It’s very important on free exchange and flow of information, systems are in place to ensure that expertise is available where it is needed; individuals network extensively, crossing organisational boundaries to develop their knowledge and expertise. It is also a Commitment to learning, personal development to support from top management; people at all levels encouraged to learn regularly; learning is rewarded. Time to think and learn (understanding, exploring, reflecting, developing).
Communication Theory Barbara J. Walker HCS/320 7/18/2011 Kristin Thrun INTRODUCTION When working in teams sometimes it can be hard especially when you have one person that doesn’t want to cooperate. It also can be a lot of fun when you get the right kind of people. You may find some people that want to take charge and do all the work instead of working with a team. Then you have the ones that are laid back and don’t care as long as they are working. I enjoy working with a team because you get to meet new people while you are working and it makes the time go by fast.
How do we become knowledge workers within our own organizations? Hammer (2004) suggests that we are entering an age where we will all be knowledge workers. I find some truth in that because we are always learning from our peers, our employees, and our supervisors. But it is necessary for us to know where that newfound knowledge comes from by finding its source. I am the type of person who wants to know everything and be the best at every task I perform, and doing the necessary work to identify the appropriate source of information will make that task just a bit easier.
The way you tell someone to do something, may be ok to one person, but it could be offensive, or threatening to another. When you offend that person, it is then when you have to be the bigger person and fix things. If not, the work place will not be very comfortable to work in for the both of you and it could effect the people around you, too. Another example in this area would be how you spend your time. Time management is very important in all aspects of life.
To improve my own knowledge is very important to me and I really enjoy learning new skills which can benefit my roles or future roles. In doing this I feel I am progressing in my career, keeping myself desirable to other employers and maximising my potential to do well within my career. Therefore if I continue to develop professionally and improve my knowledge resulting in me improving my practice I will: * Become a positive role model to other staff * Be confident in my own abilities and future employment * Lead and influence staff positively with the correct information and highest of standards. * Recognise opportunity for further career movements
In my team we had numerous of skills that we identified between us. These skills helped us to develop ideas and plan our event plan. as a team we came up with a numerous of ideas that helped us gain success on the actual event day. There were advantages and disadvantages that as a team we had to face, but we overcame all of those problems and we worked together instead of falling apart and not negotiating on a decision. This was one of our key strengths.
With each problem solved or goal achieved, excitement grows within the team and a sense of accomplishment is felt once the process is completed (Bethea, Holland, & Reddick 2014). Highly effective teams are also proficient at the process of self –evaluation. These collaborations learn from each experience, gaining knowledge and skills to address the next challenge or situation. A collaboration’s honest critiquing of the care process encourages growth and leads to an even more effective team. #2 Effective collaborations though can only form if there are effective members on the team.
Some people see the use of technology as a useful tool, that enhances productivity and serves as a complement to human tasks while others believe that technology can make processes more complicated or that eventually in the worst case scenario, it can replace a person's job. Even though both sides have supporters and detractors, the truth is that every day we are surrounded by more and more technologies and we must adapt to make the best out of the situation if we want to remain competitive within our organizations. Whether the case is if we will actually incorporate its use, or that we will continue to be as manual and handy as possible while recognizing that even the most simple forms of technology can help us to achieve better results and make our lives easier (e.g. the possibility of using a mobile phone anywhere vs. only being able to communicate through a land
