Benefits in a Socialist System

In the past, present, and future, citizens all over the world live with different types of economic systems such as communist, socialist, and free enterprise. Numerous people would say that socialism and communism are inadequate economic systems compared to free enterprise. Since some people are unfamiliar about the dictated areas, people would assume that individuals don’t live a good life, but it’s not true. The free enterprise system creates one of the abominable lifestyles because there are extremely rich or poor people. As a result, socialism is the superior compared to other systems. The free enterprise system is a pretty free place to live in, but think about it, it’s not as great as you think because some people are separated by the wealthiest and the less unfortunates. This system makes the rich richer and the poor poorer; that’s why many people could live through either poverty or wealth. Citizens have “suffering and unfulfilling lives that are simply the fault of the individuals whose lives go badly” (Unknown) because several people are too lazy to work which leads to distress. As the needy people put up with a horrible life it often leads to debt or financial needs. In some cases, “the resulting loss of self-esteem and self-confidence undermines the psychological conditions for flourishing (Wright).” Therefore, this system is the reason why the individuals go through a tragic life. In the communist system, everything is basically controlled by the government, which no one can choose their jobs, way of living, or the amount of money they earn. In essence, everything that the government says, a citizen has to follow. For example, if a person wants to be an engineer and the government tells them to be a farmer, they have to follow it.
