Behavior change: Drinking more water
Taking this class I have learned a lot, Things I thought I had already known. Taking this course has helped expand my knowledge and taught me things about myself. I took this class because it’s a credit that of course I needed to go towards my major. I didn’t think I would come out learning majority of the things I did, that happen to be very important in everyday life. Choosing a behavior change topic was a little difficult only because there was a few that came to mind that I wanted to change. I chose “drinking more water” because of several reasons; One, I have really oily sensitive skin so therefore I breakout very easily. Secondly, I know that water helps with weight not that I’m overweight I just know water helps keep you healthy. But mainly I chose water because of my skin, and I want my face to stay clear as possible. I normally drink a lot of juices and sodas. I’ve tried numerous times in the past to try and drink more water but I always end up not going through with my plan. I felt like doing this project I was in a way obligated to stick to what I say I was going to do as far as drinking more water. So I set up three mini goals to reach my final goal.
1. I will have a glass of water in the morning when I first wake up 08/27/13
2. I will have another glass of water after my workout during the day 09/3/13
3. I’ll have lemon water with my dinner 10/1/13
This behavior change contract really helped me be able to write out my goals so I could have a visual of what it was I was going to do. So my next step I made a chart.
