Becoming a Good Tennis Player In this century, tennis is the second most popular sport in the world after soccer. There are many good tennis players and many children that want to play high level tennis as well as the tennis professionals. To become a good tennis player, there should be a very long process of practices and tournaments. This essay will be explaining briefly the process that is needed to play high level Tennis. First of all, if the parents of the children want their child to play high level tennis, they must inscribe him or her at very young age. The best age to start practicing tennis is from 4 to 5 years old. At this age the kids learn how to coordinate their eyes with their hands and their eyes with their feet by fun games on the tennis court. When the child turns 6 or 7 years old, this is the best moment to buy the racket and other tennis tools. At this age the child will learn the basic techniques and how to use the racket to hit the ball. Also he or she will learn the rules and scoring . When the child masters these techniques, he or she will learn how to change directions and different styles to hit the ball such as top spin and slice. These ages are crucial for a child that wants to play high level tennis because these are the more important skills they need to learn. Then starting from the age of 10 to 20 years old the individual will start it’s physical training. This will include, running, weights, coordination exercises and flexibility exercises. The age of 10 is also the best age to start playing tournaments and becoming competitive. If the child starts to play in tournaments at this age it will be much easier to have a higher Tennis level at the age of 18. To have a chance to become a Tennis professional, the individual will need a schedule of practice hours and tournaments per year. The hours of practice that are needed are
