Vacationing at the Beach vs. the City Darlene Lee ECPI Vacationing at the Beach vs. the City Not everyone has the opportunity to go on vacation every year but, when we do go on vacation we have to decide the best place to go for your needs. Vacationing with your family is something everyone looks forward to every year. It is a time to relax, read a good book and spend quality time together. So I think choosing the appropriate vacation is fun and exciting! The first difference between vacationing on the beach or in the City is the different kinds of activities you are able to do. On the beach for example, you can swim, fish, surf, or just lie on the beautiful sand and get a deep dark tan. You can also listen to the ocean crash against the sand. I think the beach is one of the most beautiful places on earth! I have lived in the Cayman Islands and I will never forget how crystal blue the water is and pretty the white sand beaches are. On the other hand, in a city you visit many unique sites, such as historical museums, fancy theaters, great restaurant’s and couture shopping. I have also lived in New York and it is one of the most fascinating cities I have ever visited. If you like the hustle and bustle of a city this is defiantly the place for you. Another difference between vacationing on the beach or in a city is the type of clothing you will wear. If you go to the beach, your attire would be much more casual than the city. You would obviously take a swimsuit, shorts, tank tops, flip flops, and cool sunglasses. Considering you are going to the city where you would be walking a lot, you will need will need comfortable tennis shoes, casual clothes and dress clothes in case you go out to dinner or the theater.
