Also the ocean is so beautiful and unforgettable. The sounds of the waves coming from the massive deep blue ocean and washing up on the shore of the white sand beach, or the sound of them crashing up against the sharp jagged rocks of the coast line are soothing. Something about the rhythmic timing of each wave causes a relaxing sensation and can almost put you into a deep sleep. The sleep would be hard to come out, not because it’s impossible but only because you wouldn’t want to. Although some individuals may find them extremely annoying I enjoy the sound of the sea gulls on the beach.
Florida, or otherwise known as 'the sunshine state' is a very popular area with all the things imaginable that people would find enjoyable. Coastal population started increasing very rapidly in the 1960s and 1980s, making Florida the popular coastal zone that it is now. Florida is very subject to coastalisation due to the fact 75% of Florida's population lives along the coastline, and its tropical climate of hot temperatures all year round make it an attractive place to live and visit. Florida is also a peninsula so this means wherever you are, you're near a beach in Florida. There are endless things to do in Florida which attracts people to live there, such as Everglades national park, the range of wildlife you can see such as dolphins,
Figure 2b is a good place to build on for many reasons. One reason is that the land is very flat which means that it is easier to build hotels, and the land is also close to the beach, which means that more people are likely to visit. The beach is also clean and sandy, so it will be nicer to do some activities like sunbathing and swimming. The sea is good for boats, watersports, jet-skiing etc. The climate of the area also helps, as warmer weather is more attractive for tourists, meaning that they would be more likely to visit.
Beach vacations vs. City vacations All people do not have the opportunity to go on a vacation, but for the fortunate, the big question is, “where should we go?” When we go on vacation, we have to decide where we want to go according to what we have in mind. City vacations are very different than beach vacations. I will be discussing different activities in both places, the items you will need to pack, and the different pace of life in both vacation areas. The beach is amongst the most popular places that people like to vacation to, nationwide. The first major influence for someone picking their vacation is the activities you can do.
Myrtle Beach vs. New York City People take vacations to escape their daily lives. They recharge, they escape and they come back from a vacation relaxed and ready to go back to work. Some, however, come back already thinking about their next vacation. I look forward to my yearly vacations and I have been to some very different places. Recently, I have travelled to New York City and, on another vacation, to Myrtle Beach.
The ability to sit on The Sunshine State's incredible beaches and enjoy the soft sand, warm water, and beautiful sunsets you will find there. Florida has thousands of miles of coastline and the beaches are many and quite varied in their type. Choose your favorite, from Tony South Beach in Miami, the place to see and be seen, to the white sanded family oriented beaches of Siesta Key, near Sarasota. There are also the Panhandle beaches like popular Destin or the beaches of the northeast, including Fernandina and Ponte Vedra, as well as the beaches of the Keys and those in the southwest, like
Coney Island's three big luxury hotels, the Manhattan Beach, Oriental and Brighton Beach were the epitome of a gracious and leisurely age, a unique expression of their era. They were long rambling wooden structures, 600 to 800 feet in length with deep verandas (porches) reaching down their entire length. They faced the sea but were set back by wide green lawns decorated with beds of geraniums and lobelias, and had broad curving walks. These gracious hotels became more and more popular with each day. Evening entertainment included music and fireworks.
The spices used are for some of the wide varieties of seafood we have to offer. Fashion in Florida is nothing to gawk about, it ranges anywhere from thong bikinis to Elegant Evening gowns. Florida is known for both its “Sun Life” to its “Night Life.” The sun life so to speak, is going to the beach and riding the waves while basking in the hot Florida sun. People wearing their bathing suits and shorts, and sometimes even miniskirts and mid tops. Most all the clothing for beach goers are themed in such a way, they have pale to pastel colors and various textures.
Ocean Beach Beach Profile This photo was taken from the peak of the dunes at Ocean Beach. To measure the beach profile we used a ‘dumpy level’ and started at the water’s edge and carried on until we reached the dunes at Ocean Beach. The beach measured 110m, the overall change from the water’s edge to the peak of the dunes was 2.34m, and the beach was a long gentle sloping beach. This is shown in the photo but also in the graph I made with all three beach profiles placed on it, which is found at the end of my presentation of results and analysis of data. A gentle sloping beach is found at Ocean Beach which is caused by long shore drift, long shore drift is the name given to the process by which the beach sediment (fine sand at Ocean Beach) is transported along the coastal area by the action of waves.
This was the softest, fluffiest, most comfortable bed ever. The bed was so gratifying that I could have slept all day. The Savannah River is the longest and largest waterway between Georgia and South Carolina. It runs between the Hotels and River Street, otherwise known as the Riverfront. The river is so pretty at night.
