“Yes we can.”- Barack Obama. This is President Barack Obama’s motto. He is saying that we can do anything we put our minds to. Barack Hussein Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii to an American mother named Ann Dunham and a Kenyan father named Barack Obama, Sr. He is the first African American president of the United States of America. A lot of people look up to Obama, not only as a leader of the United States of America, but also a leader for the world. He was recently sworn into office and is already changing our planet. He has proved to us that anyone can make a difference. Barack Obama’s success starts with his fantastic leadership style, the way he opened doors for minorities, and he tops it off by winning the Nobel Peace Prize!
Barack Obama definitely has a unique leadership style. He is charismatic and uses the power of words. Like Martin Luther King Jr., president Obama is an eloquent orator. He knows how to capture a crowd. He shows authority and confidence in his speeches which in turn, makes the world feel comfortable with him leading us. For example during the presidential election, Barack, as democrat, won over the majority of the previous republican states to his side. He persuaded them to choose him as president, with promises of change for their future. Also, Barack did not use any negative campaign advertisements to put down his opponent, John McCain. Barack Obama mobilizes people, meaning that he brings people together and helps them notice everyone as a whole. Barack Obama’s one-of-a-kind leader ship style really contributes to how he leads his country and the world.
President Obama has helped other people by giving them bigger chances, and helping them achieve their goals. He has influenced young adults to never give up and to strive to the top.
