In the documentary they also displayed the terrible Columbine shooting that occurred in which two teens took many lives and one of them was on prescription drugs as well. It’s just crazy; I don’t think that just because a child is displaying acts of being hyper or just being a kid should not mean that they should be labeled as a child with ADD or ADHD and pretty much force them to take these drugs that have extreme side effects. The Neurologist Fred Baugman even said himself how frightening it is that kids those days were easily diagnosed with ADHD especially by school
Even though stats say something else, the media automatically portrays the teenagers as the bad guy. Eighty five percent of the murders are done by adults. With titles such as “children having sex” and “killer kids” it is clearly shows why such abuses are the key factors in violence, pregnancy, drug abuse and suicide among teenagers. ) This shows that what people assume to be reality, may in fact be incorrect. Cocaine Kids showed how society views most drug dealer, with stereotyping them as gangsters with big gold rope necklaces, fresh kicks, and nice cars. It was a bigger chance that the Cocaine Kids would get caught because of where they lived, the areas that they stayed in promoted drug use. There was more of a risk of being caught for drug dealing that is why certain extensive procedures were followed in Cocaine Kids. It was to the degree of the market almost having its own “miniature society with institutions, laws, morality, language codes in behaviors of its own.” (Williams, pg.2). A person would think people with money would be looked down upon because they buy these illegal drugs but there is less stigmatizing because they have disposable money.

If that the case, its common sense that this is one of the many reasons why we should not legalized drugs. We would be harming every newborn at a really young age and eventually as they get older they will be drug addicts as well. The media often influences people to behave in certain ways and this leads them to copy what they have seen or heard in the media. These are commonly referred to as copy-cat incidents. One famous example of imitation is the James Bulger case whereby 2 boys of ten years old murdered a toddler because they had seen this behaviour in violent films. Copy-cat behaviour is not always negative and some people may try to copy the behaviour of entrepreneurs that they have seen on Dragon’s Den. However, the theory of imitation is often criticised as there is not sufficient evidence to suggest that audiences passively accept and copy what they see in the

Anyone who was positive in the movie they tried to hurt or they killed them off. Young minorities are faced with theses images everyday from music videos on down to television shows and I feel that it was an awful depiction of black culture. I do feel that the movie is detrimental and can taint a young urban minorities mind; it could lead young men and women to idolize criminal lifestyle. When Goldie refers to himself as a “hero” I could almost imagine what is going on in a young teenager’s mind. Their probably thinking the movie was great or they want to sell drugs, be a player or pimp just like him without seeing the truth.
Abercrombie Zombies I believe that the popular American clothing store Abercrombie and Fitch is much to blame for turning American teens into a group of clones. They use subliminal advertisement to get into the minds of today’s youth and make them think that they have to spend every dime they have in order to look cool at school. The teen psychology is very prone to conformity and Abercrombie takes advantage of this through the use of their very sexual advertisement and magazines. They also make kids think that it is alright to make fun of different cultures with their “comic” tees. The extreme overpricing of their clothing is shameful.

This would position his readers, mostly parents to see the dark side of alcohol and teenagers as no parent would want for their teenage child to be sexually assaulted. Secondly he uses statistics. Brown highlights the 300% increase in hospital admissions of drunken teenagers.
Society is immensely focused on eliminating prejudice words since it is believed they are violent. Eliminating words is not an easy task when context comes into play. Huckleberry Finn can use a word prejudice against African Americans and not cause as much controversy as the very utterance of the word by stranger. The author speaks about a memory on a subway when he over heard a group of teenagers using a derogatory term against homosexuals. He explains the fear he felt when he heard the term since he was homosexual himself.
