Autobiographical statement: I was born in a place Called Monsang Pantha, a village 70 km away from the capital city of Manipur. My village comes under Chandel, a district which borders India with Burma. It’s a small village with handful of gazetted officers. I have three elder brothers and two younger sisters. My Dad is self employed business man and my mom is a housewife. Also my Dad had served the village as a headman for the past 25years. All the villagers belong to one single tribal community called Monsang, which is a recognised tribe by the constitution of India. The people of my village are very faithful and are Christian by faith. Apart from serving as the headman of the village my dad got involve in many social service. He is in fact known as the social worker. All my brothers too, got involve in some kind of responsibilities and community services in their level as student leaders. The Economic and social status of the entire village is quite low compare to the neighbouring villages. Most of the people from my village depend on jhum cultivation as they don’t have other means to live on. That’s the main reason why many people from my village couldn’t pursue higher studies. So, not many educated people can be found in my village. Our family condition was little better than the rest of the village since my father work as a part time contractor. With his support, all my other three brothers have completed their studies. Since not many people are educated the entire villagers look up to us for guidance and suggestions. This is one of the main reasons why I wanted to pursue my higher studies in social work. I begin my schooling from my village school. I studied there till class v. The name of the School is St. Peter’s high school. It’s a private School run by missionary fathers. And the medium of teaching is English. Then I shifted to Catholic school
