Attitudes towards Pets in My Country and In U.S Annually, Americans spend up to $48.7 billion on pets. Last year, Americans spend $50 billion on pets. This year, Americans project is to spend $50.84 billion on pet. That’s a lot. Compare to my country, half of this money are spent on baby food annually. The difference is clear. Pets in my country don’t stand the chance of benefits like this. Pets, most especially dogs in America are considered to be part of a family. Rules guide most of the pets in America. American pets; like dogs are used for security purpose because of their great sense of sight and smell. Billions of dollars are spent on pets in America than in my country. Half of this money is spent on infant food in my country. In my country, pets most especially dogs wander on the street to search for foods to survive the day. Eighty-five percent of dogs in my country are run away dogs, we care less about them. In America, dogs are like a second option to human being. Dogs are given intensive care; they are well taken care of and look after. Dogs in America feed on fresh foods which contains essential vitamins and minerals for daily growth. American dogs are considered to be part of the family. Furthermore, rules’ guiding the use of dogs in America is to the peak. I was so surprised when I heard people go to jail because of dog. A dog owner in America is overprotective of his dog and can be so mad when his dog is abused by another person. It shows how protects most pest are here in America. In my country, dogs are one of the most abused pets. We stone dogs when we think they are treating or misbehaving. In eastern part of my country, they have restaurants that use dog to prepare soup, it speak to me how many dogs lose their live each day. Dogs are not lucky to have rules guiding them in my country.
