To find the concerns that begin the program planning process, it is a prerequisite to do a needs or problems assessment. The assessments give human service workers good direction to what areas need the most focus and what kind of help the people need most. (2003). While planning a program, it is good to brainstorm all the possible avenues and outcomes of all situations. Human service workers need to be prepared for all situations, and have feedback on how well their programs are working.

While our happiness gets momentarily disturbed, we assimilate the idea at our own pace. With this, we can be sure that even with the toughest situations that we can be facing, our happiness will get us back to normal when we assimilate the idea. Giving space to other kind of feelings than happiness is a good idea because will improve our sense of the psychological immune system. Goldman defines emotional intelligence as knowing your/someone’s feelings and using them to make good decisions in life, being able to manage moods and control impulses and being motivated and effectively overcoming setbacks in working towards goals. Daniel Goldman firsted looked at the brain to see how the brain helps emotions. He found out that there are three parts of the brain; the reptile brain, the limbic system and the neocortex. He found out that in basic life functions like breathing, monitors motor functions, control reactions, movement and behaviours that are repetitive, predictable and rarely constructive. This shows that your brain helps with emotional intelligence and emotions play a critical part in teaching and learning.
