At shopping and buying stuff I love to shop and buy for my family various stuff, fun and important to me. For me to go shopping is relaxing and is a good thing. I prefer warehouse stores like Costco, Cash N' Carry all over the country where I can buy most anything I need and I buy it in bulk cheap. Now it's easy to find what I want because every choice is available to us in the desired quantities, and the prices are low. It is completely different compared to shopping a few years ago. Often I buy things that I have not seen in reality because I buy through the Internet, or things that I keep on hand because they are electronic and they keep in my computer, such as books, magazines, journals, music discs or movies. Also today in America I buy all new things and in case things fail or happen to spoil, nothing gets repaired; just I go to buy another because I am surrounded by choices. I think this is a good advantage when I buy more things. When I have few things I feel limited and poor. Often Americans are considered hoarders because they buy and buy and buy more things. It wasn't always this way. Stuff used to be rare and valuable. Stuff has gotten a lot cheaper, but our attitudes toward it haven't changed correspondingly. We overvalue stuff and to buy new things because we get bored with the old. For example most people in America have too much stuff but in fact, the poorer people are the more stuff they seem to have. I know people who live in Canada, China, and Japan, they are friends of mine that have the same habit, and they take little pleasure in things, they preferring to fill their lives with stuff. Countries where they live have a well-developed market economy and a wide range of different things. This is why they have opportunities similar to the U.S. to buy and to collect things.
