We have recently received questions concerning our Free play activities and what it includes as well as why it is so important that we have Free Play on a daily basis – I have thought it good to write an article to our parents to inform every one of the importance of Free Play. Free Play as a word: Free Play is often misjudged as playing outside for fun – we as qualified Teachers know the importance of Free Play in a Child’s daily routine and the benefits for the young child such as not only relaxing and playing with friends but it develops the young child physically such as hop scotch learns the young child about balance and focus also developing the joints of the young child. Free Play helps the young child to create a play routine and a fantasy of Teacher-Teacher or House-House as the children often refer to and learning social skills in a sence of making friends and playing with them. Free Play is as described above more than just fun for the young child it also develops the young child on multiple levels. The purpose of Free Play! As mentioned under the headline “Free Play as a Word!” I described a few reasons why free play – plays such an important role in the Development in the young child please see below for insights which assists the development of the young child: * Climbing on Equipment – With Adult Supervision. * Socializing with other children in the young child’s age group. * Being creative with games such as Doctor-Doctor. * Developing of joints. * Developing of eye-hand coordination. * Develops focus. * Refreshes the young child and prepares them
