Jackie Wade Feb. 11, 2015 Primary and Secondary historical sources can be identified based on varying factors. However, they may both be beneficial to the reader depending on the purpose of ones research. Primary and Secondary sources differentiate in three major ways: the time period in which the source was written, the author, and the dialogue within the source. A prime example of a primary versus secondary source would be “The Massachusetts Bay Colony Case Against Anne Hutchinson (1637)” versus “Anne Hutchinson versus Massachusetts”. “The Massachusetts Bay Colony Case Against Anne Hutchinson (1637)” being the primary source, while “Anne Hutchinson versus Massachusetts” being the secondary source, due to three of many differentiating factors.
Qualitative and quantitative researches have several advantages and disadvantages, depending upon the researcher’s plan and area of focus. Qualitative research is useful in the early stages of a study when the researcher may be uncertain of what to be studied or what to focus on. This type of research does not require a specific plan before it begins. The researcher has freedom to let the study open out more naturally. Another advantage of qualitative research is that it gives more thorough data in the shape of complete descriptions in written form or visual evidence, such as photographs.
Multiple methods. Competent marketing researchers shy away from over-reliance on any one method, preferring to adapt the method to the problem rather than the other way around. They also recognize the desirability of gathering information from multiple sources to give greater confidence. 4. Interdependence of models and data.
A standard form contract is usually known as a basic legal agreement which has been pre-printed enclosing set clauses. These agreements cannot be changed by the opposite parties. Standard form contract are known to be used by only large major organisations as in other words a standard form contracts can be known to be called a take it or leave it offer. This is due to a standard form contract to be non-negotiable by any means as they agreements and offer situated in the standard form contract only favours the organisations. As I mentioned above that a standard form contract is only used by large major organisations they do not have enough time in the world to provide or deal with individual situations or issues to they offer an fixed contract which make it easier for organisation in questions as they deal with mass orders on daily basis.
Individuals are complex and it follows that assessments will be too (Hagedorn 2000). No one assessment that is better than another and choice will depend on the particular approach, the aims of the assessment, and the physical practicalities (time, equipment, budget, practice area) of carrying it out. (Holm & Rogers 1989 cited in Hagedorn 2000). The stage of assessment in the intervention process, the clients’ level of ability and nature of their difficulty will also influence choice of assessment. Assessments can be used simultaneously but methods are not necessarily equivalent and do
Magistracies in general were only held for short periods of time and therefore were difficult to initiate constructive reforms and administration. This also meant experience of magistrates could not be built upon and thus the effectiveness of their role was lacking. Therefore, Augustus’ power was unique and subject to none of the traditional checks - so he ran the state by utilising Republican forms which rather than changing - he expanded it (Chisholm & Ferguson). Therefore, this gave rise to Augustus’ notions of overhauling the roles of magistrates. One way of doing this was by influencing the selection of magistrates.
While there are always some exceptions, an award tends to represent one's significance and contributions rather than create new challenges. Some may say that this achievement is double-handed in the sense it creates a need for responsibility, but I believe it is responsibility in the good sense: responsibility of setting a standard for people seeking to be in one's footsteps. In conclusion, there are so many different types of personal achievement that it is almost impossible to describe a true representation of its challenge producing notion. Globally political achievements are more usually the ones that produce an enduring challenge, simply because the world is never consistent. It teems with differing ideas from political
Kennedy’s definition is much simpler, yet somehow explains visual literacy in a richer sense. Both Debes’s and Kennedy come to the same conclusion, but Kennedy goes further by saying that visual literacy is a form of critical thinking that enhances your intellectual capacity. This means that because of the digital age we must look at re-integrating the capacity of our senses (Kennedy, 2010). We do this by taking all of the theoretical perspectives (semiotics, the Gestalt theory, constructivism, ecological theory, cognitive theory, Huxley-Lester model, and omniphasism) and “mix and match” them in order to get the correct result. This allows visual literacy to be considered a universal language.
In causal comparative research, the researcher has limited control over the study and extreme caution must be applied in interpreting results. This is because the groups are already formed at the beginning of the study. An apparent cause-effect relation may not be as it appears. The alleged cause of an observed effect may in fact be the effect itself, or, a third variable may have caused both the apparent cause and the effect. In other words, an observed relationship between variable A and B can mean that A causes B, B causes B, or a third variable C causes both A and
The runner-up get absolutely no credit whatsoever because under FPTP system, the winner takes it all. Next, it is undemocratic in the context that many votes are wasted and it may produce minority governments. Votes which do not go towards the ballot of any candidate are usually referred as ‘wasted votes’. When it comes to the establishment of the government of the day, votes cast are not taken into account or consideration. Only the number of seats won by a given party is taken into account.
