Outcome 1 1.1People can communicate in many ways – verbally, by talking to one another, whether it is in person or on the phone, using vocabulary tone and pitch, written, by writing to another by any means for example by letter or email, and also non-verbally, by using their own body language using their own body language – using open body language communicates that you are approachable and using closed body language (for example crossed arms) may communicate that you are unapproachable. 1.2Communication plays a big part in the relationships within a work setting – good communication leads to a well-informed team. Positive communication, whether with a service user or another staff member promotes a good working relationship and in some cases, friendship. A good communicator will have a very good chance of creating a working ‘bond’ with someone. Poor communication will more than likely lead to no bonds or relationships forming, you will come across as completely unapproachable, and this will also lead to an ill-informed team where conflicts and disagreements could occur, which will obviously have a knock-on effect on service provision. Outcome 2 2.1 Demonstrate. 2.2 There are many factors to consider when promoting effective communication, such as :- Disabilities: hearing loss, impaired vision, speech impairment or mobility problems can greatly affect how an individual communicates or expresses themselves. Cultural: differences in culture for example in some cultures it is considered inappropriate for a female to touch a male and vice versa, a child may not be allowed to speak infront of an adult, some body gestures and facial expressions are also deemed inappropriate depending on which culture the individual belongs to. Environment: noisy, crowded environments can make it extremely difficult to communicate effectively, lights, air,
