The aspects of a reptile that are more evolved than the aspects in an amphibian are that reptiles can live without the presence of water; depend mostly of the sun; they have a hard skin; get bigger within the years; live in forests, jungles, or desert; eat meat; they have a long life; lay hard-shelled eggs in land; defend with its teeth and the sharp fangs; breath outside the water; move very fast with its long tail and long limbs, they don’t feed babies, and they have no fur to protect from cold. On the other hand, amphibians cannot live without the presence of water; have a soft, smooth and thin skin; their size is very small; eat insects and plants; have a short life span; lay jelly-like eggs in the water; they first breath in and then out of the water; and they move slower than reptiles with its short tail and limbs. Both amphibians and reptiles are cold blooded and that is why they both need to live in the tropics where there is hot weather to keep them warm. Millions of years ago, reptiles lived in swamps and were very small, oversized by amphibians. After important extinction events, amphibians were devastated; reptiles adapted to living in drier conditions, and became carnivorous and herbivorous.
