Ask questions Intelligently Today communication has become a key of success. We are surrounded by communications all days time. It’s very essential to be an effective communicator. Asking questions and listening to them are very essential for effective communication. You can see it in your work environment whether as a student or an employee, we always asked questions, and listen others respond throughout our life. Generally, the purpose of asking questions is to gather information. So we should frame out our questions very intelligently in order to get better responses. Is it advisable to use many questions or a few? It’s not necessary to ask questions in a rapid fire manner as it becomes a torture for a listener also to reply for many questions effectively at a particular moment of time. One way to avoid is to make each single question very efficiently in order to get maximum information you need. Other way is to ask open ended questions which reveal maximum efficiency. It makes responser to answer in an elaborative manner. So a person can gather much more information than simple answer in YES or NO. Are we all asking questions in order to get the information we want? We should ask question in such a manner so that listener can understand that why the question is being asked?What is its importance? When the listener understands this then it becomes easier for him or her to reply in an efficacious manner. Points to be keep in mind when same questions are asked from many people in the forum: We should ask questions in such a manner that makes listener to think as if it were being asked for the first time. Asking repetitive questions to the listener when he is the single person to respond in the meeting, then it creates disinterest in the mind of responder.
