Rachel Blankenship Everest University 8/11/2013 As I Walk Through My Neighborhood In this essay, I will talk about how different things are now than they were when I was a kid. As I walked through my neighborhood it felt strange because I hardly see many kids playing outside in the yard or at the school at the playground or outside playing basketball with the other kids. Nowadays kids just want to stay in the house in the front of the TV watching it or playing video games or the computer and being around adults instead of wanting to play outside with their friends during their summer off of school. . First, Like just last week, I went over to see one of my friends and took my three kids over to play with her kids so they could go outside and hang out so me and my friends could talk because I had not seen her for a while and all the kids wanted to do is sit in the living room and play video games, so we went in and told the kids to go outside and play ball and have some fun but all they wanted to do is sit and play their video games. Finally later on we encouraged them to go out for about an hour to play some ball, we told them it was not good for them to stay in the house all the time.
