in this program art is part of the curriculum. I like both programs but If I had to choose one I would go with high/scope because it has hands on and is open ended. 2. Defend the argument that a project approach should follow the interests of the children and is the most meaningful curricular approach for them. Sammy is a very relatable character in that he makes a very human and juvenile choice of quitting something for no good reason. This character takes little thought into account in regards to the consequences of his actions. After he quits he is given a chance to stay with his job by his boss but his choice to follow through is driven by his ego. Ego is something that many individuals get stuck into and young people are the best examples; often they make choices because of what other people might think instead of because it is best for them. The story concludes with Sammy being alone, he is now looking in at something he is no longer a part of ,the A&P, while thinking about something he will never be a part of ,Queenies life.

Gwen Hardwood The emotive qualities of Gwen Harwood’s poetry resonate with her readers. She uses her own memories to illustrate love for her family, her loss of innocence and the swiftness of time passing. She demonstrates this in her poems Father and Child, The Violets and At Mornington. The poem The Violets opens with the line “It is dusk and cold,” the time of day symbolising that this persona has reached old age and is metaphorically drawing closer to nightfall or the end of her days. Death is made apparent with the negative adjective “cold.” The flowers she is picking at the beginning of this poem are clearly what stimulate her memory of childhood as they are referenced later in the poem.
Writers adopt the punishment method in their literary works to give a nice comic edge as characters get ‘taught a lesson’ for being too dull, gullible, manipulative, idiotic, etc. As for Leary, he did not really show any sign of living life to its’ fullest potential until the last chapter of the
