The phenomenon of the show has established the intense ability to persuade and inform a specific audience. As Aristotle once said, "the faculty of observing in any given case the available means of persuasion”, rhetoric, has been an undoubted success with the Jersey Shore. The format and arrangement of the show lends itself entirely to assisting the goal of entertaining a particular audience. In the introduction, which would be the first few episodes of every season, the authority is established. The first few episodes relate to the prior season and reestablish the relationships, meaning and identity of every character.

This is when people brainstorm on film ideas of their own and basically does everything from writing the script and picking their own actors to supervising the writing to make sure it is to their standards. The next important concept in a film is the musical score. Music in a movie helps provide a sense of time and place. It gives an emotional reaction from viewers which allows audiences to react a certain way. Both of these styles are greatly seen in two films.
The trial was set for January 2, 1935 and it was expected to be the trial of the century (Petersen). When defense attorneys called Hauptmann to the witness stand, he professed total innocence, claimed that police had subjected him to beatings, and stated that he had been forced to produce handwriting samples that matched the ransom notes (Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping). After more than five weeks of testimony and 11 hours of deliberation, the jury returned a guilty verdict on Feb. 13, 1935, and Hauptmann was sentenced to death (Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping). On June 20, 1935 Hauptmann’s defense team appealed his conviction to New Jersey’s highest tribunal and on October 9, 1935 that appeal was denied (Busch). On Oct. 15, 1935, the defense team files second appeal and on Dec. 9, 1935 it was denied by the U.S. Supreme Court (Busch).Hauptmann, denying until the end any involvement in the crime, was executed by electric
A corporation’s culture is comparable to a person’s personality. The culture supplies direction, meaning, and is the basis for action. The way that personality persuades the action of a person, the shared values and beliefs among a company’s members persuades the actions and opinions within the corporation (Pearce & Robinson, 2004, p. 345). Wells Fargo’s new strategy will have a positive effect on the leadership and culture of the company and the stakeholders. 6 ‘Look Both Ways shows that life is always worth living.’ Do you agree with this interpretation of the text? ‘Look Both Ways shows that despite life’s trials, happiness is possible.’ Discuss. Happiness is one of the main themes explored in Sarah Watt’s award winning film Look Both Ways. The concept of being happy is an abstract one in a film preoccupied with other more powerful and overshadowing themes such as death and fear. Every character in the film is exposed to some form of these ‘trials’, random chance events that have the power to destroy lives.
The entire play is energized and wrapped around the power and outcome of persuasive strategies. Act 1, Scene 2 is just one of many excerpts that use such persuasive tactics when Cassius is persuading Brutus to take part in a conspiracy to assassinate Julius Caesar due his increasingly puffed up ego. Some of them being successful and some not: such as emotional appeal, flattery, attacks on the person, as well as the absence of loaded words.
