The government claims that education gives the Native children a better chance of success, while the real purpose of the school was to mould their behavior, believes and lifestyle in a particular way. Ideally, they would pass their adopted lifestyle onto their children and Natives will be assimilated within a few generations. However, the residential school experience was disturbing for many First Nation people. It remains painful and still affects their life. One of the major problems is that aboriginal people attending residential school often have parenting difficulties.
This was why it was crucial for Lenin to show strong leadership which he did. However, I don’t think that the October/November revolution would have taken place without other factors which contributed to it. Lenin was a key factor in the revolution. His return to Russia in April 1917 was a key reason that the Bolsheviks succeeded. He issued his famous April Thesis, which had his promise of ‘Peace, Land and Bread’ which was cleverly aimed at the majority of Russia (peasants wanted land, everyone wanted peace and there was a bread shortage which made problems for most people).
Having educators take a cultural and diversity education course can make them more receptive to the culture of their students and community. Western Washington University is located in the same county as Blaine and they offer courses on cultural studies that educators in the Blaine school district can utilize. The Blaine school district has worked with WWU in bringing a Native American presentation to the schools for children to get more hands on knowledge about the local Native American culture. Educators can also make sure to stay on top of their in house training by learning strategies to get students to engage more with the material being
The children mature when they learn about empathy, courage and hypocrisy and how they can affect a small town. They learn through lessons, situations, through education, and by example of other characters’ actions. Their father teaches them and reflects with them on how empathy, courage and hypocrisy are very relevant in their lives. Atticus tries to convey lessons to his children throughout the entire novel. One of the most important lessons that he teaches them is empathy, “You never really understand a person until you climb into his skin and walk around in it” 30.
Educare Educare can be defined as the combination of education and care. It is the process through which adults help small children to begin to understand the world around them. Instilling basic knowledge in children such as the names of objects that they commonly encounter, colours, and number and letter recognition equips them with the tools they need to get an educational head-start, to learn how to learn and to make sense of their environment through communication. http://www.breadlineafrica.org/articles/educare.html Introduction to my village: Clapham It is an agricultural village. This act gave farmers subsidies for voluntarily reducing there crops sizes and spacing there planting times. The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was used to revive the industries by raising the workers wages but decreasing the hours worked. This cut all excess production so they would be a greater demand. Even though this act was ruled unconstitutional, it had many lasting affects on America. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was a very inspirational act that led to the emphasis of using the rivers resources for common gain.

(About us: a history of forest schools, 2012). In my placement all the children completed a task where they had to go and collects different type of leaves. From this task they discovered nature and felt the texture of different leaves so they bonded with the nature and used the leaves usefully to make a poster. Next time we’ll take them to a history museum trip so that they don’t feel school is boring so they are encouraged to attend school every day. A child centre approach is good because it has a positive impact on a child’s emotional and social well-being as it increases the child’s
There were many critics who were opposed to the FSA experiment. The program had failed though because many of the farmers wanted there own ownership. But once the Conservative Coalition gained control of the Congress, they were able to start making changes to the (FSA), which turned the program into being now able to help the poor farmers buy their land. The program continues to operate in the 21st century , known as the Farmers Home Administration
We live in a country whose foundation was built by immigrants. My grandparents, from both sides, immigrated to the United States because their parents wanted a better life for their children. Being an immigrant in those days was not easy. Many obstacles had to be overcome. Not only did everyone need to learn a new language, work had to be found in a country where the customs were different from what they were used to.
