Cats are generally smaller in size, and they don't require as much space as compared to large dogs. That being said, their food and health care are usually less expensive. Furthermore, cats behavior and personality is typically more mellow and even tempered. However, they can be very sweet and affectionate when given proper care. Another aspect to consider is time management.
The size of the cat could benefit the dissection by making the skinning as well as dealing with the organs easier. However, it would be more difficult to find some organs or specific parts of the cat than it would have been in a larger one. Vibrissae, also known as whiskers, are tactile hair found on many mammals. While they can be found on any part of the body, they are most commonly found on the face of a mammal. Pinnae are, simply put, ear.
They help hold your food in as well as produce speech. They help make different sounds such as whistling and kissing. They have a very thin layer of skin. The reason I think the elbow is the lowest is because it is mainly a joint. It is hard bone and cartilage without many nerves on the outside.
Diet The main food that Koalas eat is eucalyptus leaves. Eucalyptus leaves are very fibrous and low in nutrition. Eucalyptus leaves contain a lot of water so koalas don’t have to drink. The koala’s metabolism rate is also regulated in a way to complement the heat insulation of the fur. The metabolism of the koala is quite slow it is only 74% of other animals’ metabolism rate.
Both types have a short tail and short, clawed limbs that are very good at digging. They also have a narrow, hairless snout, a small mouth, and a sticky tongue. They do not have teeth. Behavior Short-nosed and long-nosed echidnas have different feeding habits. The short-nosed echidna lives on a diet of ants and termites.
They have a short snout, and wide-set, round nostrils and grow to be about 2 feet in length, not including their 30-inch tail. Howler monkey males and females have different sounds. In the females, the noise sounds like a grunt, like that of a pig. Male howler monkeys’ roaring sound is a distinct feature. The howler monkeys don’t travel very much.
Habitat: It is found throughout much of southern and east Africa like in a countries Ethiopia, Somalia to South Africa. This small, black-faced monkey is common in East Africa as it adapts easily to many environments. It is widely distributed and not found west of the Great Rift Valley or Luangwa River. The two have often been considered conspecific. The Vervet Monkey inhabits savana lands and mountains up to 4,000 m (13,100 ft).
Placental mammals are a rather diverse group, with nearly 4000 described species, mostly rodents and bats (photos at left). The placental mammals include such diverse forms as whales, elephants, shrews, and armadillos. They are also some of the most familiar organisms to us, including pets such as dogs and cats, as well as many farm and work animals, such as sheep, cattle, and horses. And humans, of course, are also placental mammals. Placental mammals all bear live young, which are nourished before birth in the mother's uterus through a specialized embryonic organ attached to the uterus wall, the placenta.
Meerkats have amazing vision, and because of the black bands around their eyes, they are able to see a predator or prey looking directly into the sun. however, their eye sight isn’t as good seeing things close up, they also have problems with depth perception, they are not able to focus on stuff within 20 feet of them. Their hair is light brown, and has grey/brown flex, they also have stripes on their back which are very unique, there is not one Meerkat has the same. Their neck and head are usually a shade of white or tan and their underside is dark skinned with little to no hair, to help them from getting over heated when lying out in the sun. Meerkats also have special protective shield called the nictitating membrane around their eyes to help protect them from dirt and debris when digging their burrows.
A black stripe is seen from its nose to midway of its back. Its belly, throat, and chest are cream in colour. As a nocturnal, its large eyes help to see at night, and its ears swivel to help locate prey in the dark. Besides, it has five digits on each foot and each having a claw, except for the opposable toe on the hindfeet. Also on the hindfeet, the second and third digits are partially syndactylous
