Also, John Proctor is surprisingly sensitive and thoughtful. When he asks his wife if she is saddened he displays concern for her well-being. He wants nothing more than for his dear wife to feel loved and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make her feel that way. He always spoke good about his wife. For example, when Elizabeth was accused of witchcraft, John said, “My wife cannot lie, I have paid much to learn it sir.” (p.111) John Proctor's major flaw was his great pride in his name.
Then she had to survive on the ship for two months. To get to the colony she must lie to the captain and say there are people waiting for her. Her aunt and uncle really have no idea that Kit is coming. Kit finally makes it and makes a new friend. Kit makes an old lady friend named Hannah who is accused of being a witch and she must help her escape.

David had a good relationship with Uncle Axel, Aunt Harriet and Mrs.Wender. In the novel “The Chrysalids”, David experiences “mother like” relationship. Firstly, Sophie’s mother is one of the people in the story that is mother-like to David and they have a good relationship with one another. First, when Mrs.Wender tells David that he is a good boy, no one has not ever told him that.
“Patricia Morgan was a fighter. Her life had been extremely difficult. She was not about to give up the fight when her sailboat left her thrown overboard.” Patricia Morgan curled up on the boat and was relaxing. She and Carlo Fraizzoli had had a busy week in Baltimore. They were heading for a cove 25 miles south on the Magothy River, the couple were enjoying the June evening sailing the Chesapeake Bay.
Smith’s strengths are her loyalty, tenacity, and work ethics. She will still be anyone that she has placed in her circle and her family. She keeps going despite the hurdles and obstacles. Even though her husband had a lot of money and wanted her to just stay at home and raise the children, she insisted that she work and have her own money. She states that she doesn’t necessarily like working but she likes the fact that she works and can support herself and her children if needed.
In the end her and her baby got the help they were looking for, and were adopted into the family. This was all because she wanted to do the right thing for her child. This made me highly respect Mandy, and I had this feeling about her the entire book. People that do the right thing get
The General wasn’t content at the idea of Soraya being a teacher, but later it she showed how happy it made her. If the General didn’t approve of her career, the bond they have now wouldn’t be as strong as it is. The General only wanted what was the best for her and letting her to be happy for what she does. Parents make great sacrifices for the care of their children; they protect their children from danger, attend to their cries, and lift them up when they’re down. The Kite Runner is a great novel that displays love and tension between children and parents.
The book opens up as a narration and how the character Victor came to be. Just as we see in Mary’s life victor mother to also dies. After his mother’s death he goes on to farther his studies, and is “fascinated by the mystery of the creation of life”. Hidden away from the world and so much involve in his work and so focus on the “secret of life” he begins obsessesly constructing a being of his own. After a time of hard work, on a stormy night, his creation came to life but he was frighten by its sight and fell ill.
In the last story The Most Dangerous Game, A man is forced to survive in ways he didn’t know were possible. Throughout all three stories, the main characters learn a life lesson, grow as people, and change from the experience they have been put in. In the story Marigolds, the main character Lizbeth is experiencing conflict in her life. Her conflict is that she is forced to become an adult. “Each morning our mother and father trudged wearily down the dirt road and around the bend (Pg50).” The parents did everything they could to support the family.
Maggie knows she deserves the quilts made by her grandmother and aunt far more than Dee does but of course Dee thinks that everything is about her and that she should have what she wants. Maggie probably thinks that Dee will get the quilts because she had seemed to be Mama’s favorite, but not this time. Like Mama says, “This was Maggie’s portion.” Maggie deserves them way more than Dee. It is like they are back in church where once she would give Dee her “slightest whim,” she now refuses. After the fire it left Maggie with scars on the inside and out and that is why she acts so shy and timid throughout her
