Alchemist Analysis

The Alchemist is a unique book about finding ones place in life. This book is a story of a boys’ journeys and struggles in life, it describes how he over comes his struggles in order to find his treasure. “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful” has a common theme as The Alchemist. This song tells one that even though life has struggles you can overcome them. All in all The Alchemist and “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful” have similar themes in which one sees the hardships in life, but finds the strength to overcome them. “There is only one way to learn…It’s through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey” (Coelho 132). What does this mean? It means that one has to use action to get through one’s life struggles and learn from them, the actions one takes can make you wise. “But the struggles make you stronger and the changes make you wise” (Gary Allen). When life is a rough, when it has its struggles one learns from the troubles in life and makes one’s life better. Both the song and this quote have similar meanings. They both describe how one goes through life learning from life’s struggles. Paulo Coelho says in The Alchemist “We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it’s our life or our possessions and property, but this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world are written in the same hand” (Coelho 76). What Paulo is talking about, is that we are afraid of loss. One does not want to lose their belongings, but once one understands that one’s life needed to lose those things in order to become who they are in life. In comparison Gary Allan sings “Life ain’t always beautiful some days I miss your smile I get tired of walking all these lonely miles” (Gary Allan). Life Is not easy one loses things or people and one becomes afraid and tired of life, but the events make one who they are in life. When
