They take into account the number of passengers, fuel load by weight, estimated number of bags, freight and mail based on the shipping manifests from the cargo shippers and the United States Post Office. Taking all these weights, the ALA must plan the load distribution for the aircraft so that it is within the guidelines set by the airline and FAA so the aircraft will be in balance, front cargo hold and rear. Each different aircraft type has separate load sheets used for calculations and weight distribution. The ALA is also responsible for making sure that they have the proper equipment and enough employees to complete the job. When the aircraft is scheduled to arrive, the ALA must ensure the gate is clean and ready to accept the aircraft.
We receive parts from companies, which we process to their specifications, and send them back out to them ready to be shipped out to many different customers. We currently have many different types of parts on many different types of commercial planes and fighter jets. 1.2 Explain the organisations mission and purpose. King and Fowlers mission is: • To develop strategic partnerships with the worlds leading customers. • To develop leading-edge supply chain integration systems and processes operated be a multi-skilled team of experienced engineering and procurement professionals.
Since then security has been a common topic of controversy. Many changes have taken place at all airports to prevent any attacks from occurring again. I believe security is a vital piece in keeping our airports safe no matter what it takes, regardless of privacy issues, so I will review airport security procedures, introduce the different types of technology used for airport security, and explain that the technology used is crucial to our safety because all of these factors are what protects us during our travels despite what others may believe. Each day hundreds of flights depart from other countries en route to and from the United States, so security is important along with working with foreign countries to secure all transportation of airlines. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) protects its passengers by inspecting air carrier operations to the U.S, assessing the security of airports overseas, and addresses many compliances and reviews of airport security (TSA: Global Strategies).
Aircraft Solutions employs a range of highly qualified professionals for the production plant, with an overall goal of providing high-quality solutions while reducing cost to accommodate customer demands. The primary objective in this assessment is to identify the security vulnerabilities within the AS operations. The consequences might result in potential threats if the AS does not fix
Just like the employees at Air Devils Inc needed interventions implemented to help with stress reduction, interventions are vital for organizations. The employees at Air Devils Inc can definitely benefit from training in effective conflict resolution techniques because the simulation outlined the way employees were struggling with effectively interacting with one another. They can also benefit from interventions that can help to modify the team structure. Implementing flexible work schedules can also decrease stress in the workplace and contribute to improving organizational performance. To help employees handle the conflict and stress of the work schedule many organizations have adopted guidelines that allow alternate shifts and schedules (Jex & Britt, 2008).
Technical Analysis: Communication Data Link: MAVLink Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University ASCI 318 September 19, 2014 The selection of a reliable data link for any Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) is an important step to ensure that the selected mission is successful. The data link management system is responsible for the communication between many complex applications within both the aircraft and ground control station. These systems although complex provide a life line for the UAS and have direct impact on the range, flight time, and sensor feedback. According to an article published in Cots Journal website “The data link connects the UAV to the ground station. The data link signal has to contend with a wide range of communication problems, such as lost packets or connections, maximizing the use of limited bandwidth, and changes in ground station control authority” (Tech Recon, 2009).
The latest simulators for the F-22 and F-35 have highly developed tools that help in the training of pilots on tasks such as air-to-air combat, v visual identification, offensive/defensive basic flight maneuvers (O/D BFM) and aerial refueling. Whereas some pilots have cited the existence of some element of mismatch between what simulators teach and the actual field experience, the simulator developed for the F-22 and the F-35 has attracted the endorsement of pilots who argue that the advanced simulator is significantly closer to actual field experience than that of legacy training systems (Sepanski, & Killingsworth,
Singapore Airlines Workforce Management Program Singapore Airlines, as a service industry, valued the quality of service they provided for their customers and felt that their superior level of inflight customer service set them apart from other airlines. The SIA executives were known to comment that the SIA cabin crews were vital to their inflight service, so they set high standards for selection of cabin crew and evaluation of their performance. They felt that the attention to detail a passenger received inflight was a reflection of the overall service of the airline (Hart & Lytle, 1989). Their primary focus regarding candidate selection was on the candidates overall attitude toward work followed by “appearance and posture, language skills, grace and poise, and previous work experience” (p. 5). Young-Crew Policy SIA’s wanted their cabin crew to be a reflection of their multiracial society drawing from its Indian, Chinese, Eurasian, and Malay cultures and their rich customs related to hospitality and service (Hart & Lytle, 1989).
We, as managers, should be confident and develop their own communication styles as we gain experience on the job. Unfortunately, we are expected to have those traits immediately. Some are successful, some are not. Due to communication being a significant issue in our workplace, we need to hold our Airman/NCOs accountable. But on the other side we need to consider setting personal goals for improving communication skills for each member of the DFAC, and giving incentive awards to Airman/NCOs who meet these goals.
The pay was low and when willing to work for less entered the job market, the pay went lower. Sometimes pilots were required to fly more than 120 hours a month, in bad weather and against their better judgment. But company management made it clear that if a pilot didn’t want to fly, there was always one who would. The first pilot union was formed in 1930, by a small group of pilots who set up the Airline Line Pilots Association (A.L.P.A. ), an organization that would go on American Airlines pilots.
