Some students get so worked up about the test they can’t even get through it (par.3).
The Internet is the leading distractor in young students and adults. A few other causes include Social networks, gaming, and television play a huge toll in student’s schedules and are pushing into studying time. Little do students know that the internet has assisted with spotting someone else’s work within theirs, “with the rise of the Internet, cheating has become easier--and easier to detect” States McCollum. (McCollum, S. 2002). Procrastinating is also a sign that the student does not take an interest in the subject or feel they do not need to put as much effort because they feel they are already educated enough to pull off the assignment in a short period of time leading to stress factors that also change the quality of the work.
Many students who cheat may not realize the only one that their cheating is themselves. For example, some of the methods range from writing notes on the forearm and the palm of the hand, to a slip of paper tucked inside a sleeve. These written notes might have formulas, dates, or Que’s that will help them ascertain a correct answer on a test. Like a normal human being the student started to panic. So at the end of class he politely asked for extra credit, and the teacher in return said, no. Although in college you don’t receive extra credit he deserves some extra credit to make up for the mistakes the teacher had made. Another reason why teachers should acquire failing students with extra credit is that perhaps the students may of missed many days of school prior to being sick or injured. However, if your a student that misses a day of school, you should get the make up work and you should catch up to the rest of the class on your own.

Rosile, the author discovered that several of her students used forms of electronic technology as a means to cheat during exams. As customary, she would post the answers to the exam on the outside of the classroom while attendees were engaged taking in the exam. This method would afford students to discover their grade instantly upon completion. However, some would have an accomplice call or text the correct answers to them via a cellphone while the exam was in progress. Once discovered, Dr. Rosile’s initial thought was to discontinue posting answers for future exams and to disregard the entire incident.
The advantage of the website is that future students are allowed to see other students’ opinions about the classes and professors before they select the classes. The website, however, isn’t really trustful since most of the comments from students are subjective. In addition, some students leave immature comments such as “strange lady”, which really doesn’t help to evaluate a professor. Overall, the web site is informal and inappropriate. Students are learners, not teachers.
