Abortion
Moral or immoral? Just or unjust? It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Some mothers feel overwhelmed, some are scared, and some don’t know what to do. Abortions are wrong in all aspects and should be illegal in the United States. There are three primary reasons like when the fetus is concidered to be a person, the right of the women, and rape and incest rights.
However Charles I. Lugosi, writer of "Abortion Violates the Rights of the Unborn," states, "In the final analysis, all of us are compelled to return to biology to answer the question of when a human being is created. Even the death of one unborn child makes a difference" (2). Life begins at birth, so a fetus is not a person. According to Lugosi, "The unborn are human beings and persons from the time of conception. The legal distinction between a person and a human being must be abolished if we are to live in a society of equals" (3). Life begins at conception, so a fetus is a person. TRANSITION SENTENCE!!!!!!!!!!!
TOPIC SENTENCE!!!!!!!!!! Certainly the Center for Reproductive Rights article, "Women Have the Right to Abortion," states, "The right to life is protected in multiple rights intruments. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 20 million women have unsafe abortions every year. These unsafe abortions are responsible for the deaths of nearly 70,000 women annually" (1). Women's right outweigh those of a fetus; therefore, women can choose what to do to their bodies. Nevertheless Federica Matthews-Green's article, "Women Do Not Have the Right to Abortion," states, Alternatively, the scarring at the tube's entrance may be complete. In this case the sperm can never meet the egg, and the women is sterile; she thought she was aborting one pregnancy, but she was aborting all her pregnancies for the rest of her life" (2). A fetus has just as much right to life as the mother. TRANSITION SENTENCE!!!!!!!!!!!
