Kyra Johnson English Comp. 131 Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 October 1, 2012 A Friend Like No Other “True friends are like diamonds, precious, and rare. Fake friends are like leaves found everywhere.” Friendship has no boundaries, and no limits. A true friend picks you up when you are down. They can turn your smile into a frown. Someone that is loyal, strong minded, smart, comical, trustworthy, and dependable. Friendship can be defined in a million ways, but something about a true friend cannot be duplicated. A true friend indeed is what I have found. To judge my friend solely on appearances would satisfy the most cynical of beauty critics. Their looks do not even scratch the surface of their many layers. They make you wonder about what lies beneath the exterior. I know what is beneath is an inspiring, loyal, and strong person. Someone that has a lot to offer and they do not walk out when times get hard. If you have a problem with me, then you have a problem with my friend that is loyalty. Blessed with a strong athletic build, and blessed with a strong mind. Deeply developed shoulders, and a strong back, place him as someone born to overcome. They stand out from the crowd. Intellectual thinking, and have the power to adapt to any situation we go through in our friendship. My friend is superior intelligent, well educated and comical. The scars and calluses on their, face, and shoulders tell the story of their hardworking characteristics. Clever by design, no task, mechanical or intellectual delays them for long. When I cannot remedy the situation alone, I am comforted knowing I have a friend ready to assist me. For example, if I am not excelling in a subject in school, my friend is there to tutor me. When I am down, they know how to make me smile. We have fun together anywhere, and everywhere we go. They can turn a sad situation into a comical situation. My
