Balbir and his brother are very close and Balbir's family lived with his brother for two months when first coming to Canada. As we ate our meal the waitress made many trips to give refills. With the abundance of fresh southern meals, and its unique and amazing environment, it simply helps you to relax while forgetting your troubles. During my visit to the Cracker Barrel I experience a historical atmosphere, the food was exceptional, the best of service, and although normally very busy, especially at prime season, it does not take long to get a table.

This past weekend I was able to take a trip out to Charlottesville Va to see the Monticello which is the home of Thomas Jefferson. I had a wonderful time there and I loved all of the views that you get of the great mountain sides inside the house. I took a trip out there to see my old high school football team play in the State Championship game. It’s a little expensive to see the house, it cost us 17 dollars a piece to get a tour of the beautiful place, and it was well worth every penny. The whole place is great from the welcome center, Shops and the Monticello it’s self.

My grandparents emigrated here from Italy in 1953 after world war two. After the war it was tough to make a living in the small villages in Italy so they came to Canada to start a new life. Globalization helped my grandparents and other immigrants because they were able to hear and read about how life was like and how it was different in Canada. Since we had distant family already living in Canada my grandparents were able to migrate to Canada with ease because of the references my cousins gave. My grandparents landed in Halifax and then made their way to Toronto.
