Leadership Self Reflection Della Wadlington MGT545X Leadership and Team Development April 28, 2013 Introduction Personality profiles ARE effective in understanding people. Understanding personality types is also essential in an organization because it can be a determining factor when it comes to the placement of the employees as well as with the hiring of employees for a better workforce and with employee interaction and the team activities. Becoming familiar with personality types such as employee attributes, strengths, weaknesses, and work habits can assist in the placement of employees to allow for better production in the workplace. Acknowledging the diversity and differences among people whether employees or potential employees creates better placement and assists in job pairing especially in the team environment. Using this tactic allows management to get the most out of each employee for a better workforce.
Employees should feel that the company they work for cares about their personal life as much as they care about them being at work and providing the employees with these particular benefits shows this. Create a strategy for ensuring that the Geico plan addresses all of the advantages. The first plan to the strategy would be to get a team together from different departments of the company to come up with ideas from the employees that would interest them. Once the ideas have been gathered, have a meeting with company members to see which ideas can be implemented into the company without causing a high financial strain. The second part of the strategy would be to gather information from other companies to see what made their programs successful and comparing those ideas with ideas the members of the team that have already been put into place.
Communication does not only mean a manager talking to his or her employees, but also listening to their concerns and problems. For a manager, it is important to ensure their understanding of company objectives and their individual job roles, but it is equally important to show them the importance of their feedback to the achievement of targets and standards (www.careers-help.co.uk). Communication in the workplace is vital because effective motivation can’t take place without it. A manager needs to communicate with their staff on a regular basis, conduct weekly team meetings, discuss issues, and deal with grievances to remove communication hurdles. Effective communication allows employees to offer feedback and to provide creative ideas to help enhance and change business practices, policies, and procedures.
Understanding the factors that influence motivation levels in the workplace Define the term motivation Motivation is a tactic which is deployed by a company to help the employee realise their full potential whilst meeting the business needs of the organisation. It also a manager’s responsibility to create an environment to which enticements are given towards the employees which in turn makes them work productively and together well as a team. It is important that this is done whilst staying within the organisations procedures and completing the tasks to the level which the manager desires. Also I believe motivation to be something personal, where an employee takes self-satisfaction from the tasks to which they are instructed to complete. There are a lot of factors that can influence an employee’s motivation which make it such a crucial part of successful management.

It means sending employee directly into communities where they have to interact with people form different cultures. They want to let their trainees to be suffer from difficulties, diseases,… From this, trainees can able to manage in the most harsh situations. In addition, trainees will collaborate with each other, help to point out the weakness of comrades, feel more friendly – not to feel any discrimination between each others (even employees are gay, les, transexual; color skin…) - Based on the information given, the program help their trainees get new skills to apply to the job, deliver rewards for performance, be tied to organizational policies.
