In this task I am going to produce a written report that clearly shows the results of my research together with recommendations and comments on the idea of opening a Starbucks Coffee Bar/Subway Station at Xaverian College. 1:2 Key Findings: Students prefer subway over Starbucks Both students and staffs enjoy healthy food because it helps them keep fit and health. Promotion helps both Starbucks and subway stay ahead of their competition and also the students are more aware about Starbucks or subway opening at Xaverian College. 1:3 Recommendations: R1: Product – which should be brought into the College? With the information that I gathered I think Subway should be brought into the college because 75% of the Xaverian college students prefer Subway over Starbucks since they have a better selection of products and the price they offer to their customer is reasonable, they also offer student discounts to students who have their student ID. Also when carrying out the focus group questionnaire all of the students asked said that they prefer Subways and they think that it will be a better option to have at the college. R2: Price – what should be the pricing strategy? The pricing strategy should be £4 to £5 for a quality meal deal product since that is what most students are willing to pay for at Subway. I think that this price is reasonable for the students to pay for a meal deal products at subway which include any sub of their given choice with a drink and a snack. R3: Promotion – any promotion techniques they could use that would be popular with students? I think the meal deal will be most helpful and will attract the students and staff as they will see that they are paying a reasonable price for it. I would also use loyalty cards as well this way the business will get more staffs and students to come to the business and buy their products. R4:
