Kurt Vonnegut’s short story "Harrison Bergeron" is a satirical science fiction tale about the dark side of an ideal, utopian American society. Nothing is overtly suggestive of negativity, however, as the story is told through the third-person point of view of an objective narrator. Yet the implications and subtleties of the narrator’s descriptions are nothing short of tragic, often even comically so. Vonnegut’s use of dark satire evokes a strong response as it makes one quickly realize that this utopian society is more resembling of a dystopia. A dystopia is defined as a seemingly utopian society with at least one fatal flaw; in Vonnegut’s "Harrison Bergeron", the setting is "a ruthlessly egalitarian society, in which ability and accomplishment, or even competence, are suppressed or stigmatized as forms of inequality" ("Dystopia," online).
His steadfast base is unfaltering. Unable to be shifted, his dominance is depicted as Fitzgerald further illustrates that “Not even the effeminate swank of his riding clothes could hide the enormous power of that body […. ]” (7). The adjective enormous further builds the towering and brute description of Tom’s appearance. Not even his clothing, loose upon his frame, could hide his body.
The author also puts a lot of emphasis on Napoleon’s mistakes or “blunders.” He had many victories because he never stopped attacking his enemies by using the ignorance of his enemy’s commanders. Napoleon Bonaparte was a hard-working man who never allowed himself or his subordinates to sleep on a campaign. He was very demanding of his officers and a

The first is related to his ordinariness. Tank Man is plainly dressed, and in all of the images of him, he is carrying a bag of shopping. He clearly illustrates that any citizen can be brave enough to stand up to injustice by being so unremarkable. He was also incredibly bold, at one point climbing up onto the leading tank and having a heated exchange with the driver before members of the crowd pulled him off to hide him from retribution. The image of Tank Man is also universal, and it needs no words to be understood.
Kings whose celestial ordinance certifies their absolute power on earth. Einhard pictured a king who was above everyone else. Such a king would rule with justice, valor and would bring forth years of good fortune and prosperity. Einhard detailed that a king of such holy origin would champion his enemies in war and protect his people from invasion. It is noted from Life of Charlemagne that King Charles possessed such divine authority.
The Mesopotamians had a God that explained anything and everything in their culture. Gilgamesh was the story of a king trying to reach god status and live an eternal life. His adventures and battles captivated those of his time and catapulted his name to be known as a hero. His adventures are what they had heard all their lives and believed it all took place.
To the people he is an almighty force that can’t be stopped and he appears perfect in everyway. However he is not without fault as many may think as a matter a fact two of his biggest faults may be quite common. Even with all his strength and power he still could not escape the grasps of pride and greed. Clearly mentioned multiple times in the epic is how strong and unbeatable Beowulf is. Though this is true throughout the epic he does let it kind of go to his head in a sense.
On the other hand, it has human struggles and afflictions. Another trait of a Epic hero is they always seem to grab the attention of everyone in there surroundings no matter who or where they are. “In his far off home Beowulf, Higlacs follower and the strongest of the Geats greater and stronger than anyone anywhere in this world
