Supervisors should always be aware and encourage employees to discuss any issue with them. This will make sure that and problems the employees have, they can be dealt with early instead of turning them into grievances against the company and its workers. This would be the second best practice. When problems are dealt with when they first come up and employee feels like what concerns them is also what concerns the company and is therefore dealt with then and there or the supervisor can find out ways to deal with them. When problems are not dealt with they can become conflicts against the company that can take long times to settle since they employee most likely found someone who would listen to them.

Unit 502- Promote professional development 1.1 Explain the importance of continually improving knowledge and practice It is very important to continually maintain and more importantly improve their knowledge and the practice of the staff team and ourselves. This is so that staff work consistently with each other and are working in a way that meets legislation, policy and the service user needs. If staff do not improve or refresh their knowledge then their work practice could be out of date and no longer meet legal requirements as well as the requirements of the service users. By developing staff knowledge this could ensure that their work morale is kept positive and that they are motivated to complete their job correctly as this could empower them in their job role. Most importantly improving knowledge and practice ensures that the service users are getting the care they need in a correct manner.
It is important that staff work as a team and give support to one another. This means that I too provide the necessary tools for my employees to succeed, however, I do follow through to ensure that no employee is falling behind in any of their tasks and responsibilities. I choose to focus on the positives and strengths instead of the negatives and the weaknesses. Many managers in my current firm do not take the proper time to shape their employees to be successful. I believe that the extra time that is spent training each employee, will yield higher and more positive results in the long run. By spending extra time with each employee also shows care and respect for each person.
