I use my reasoning skills to “determine both the universal rules that each person should follow (autonomy) and the processes that will assure fairness and justice for all in the community (equality)”. I also learned about my core values, that interdependence is my goal. And combining the rights of individuals with what is best for the community. I am more rational than sensible, I believe in universal rules that apply to everyone. My classic values are temperance and justice, I value individual and social balance within the community.
Accomplishing your goal can also make someone successful, but it all depends on what type of goals are being shot for. Successful men and women are not always the wealthiest, and most powerful, but live happy and self sufficient lives. In Cannery Row , the main character are successful in their own way which makes them different and unique from each other. Doc is one of the most important character in Cannery Row; he is a good resercher that has no money but has knowledge and knows thing that many people don't. Doc could be the most successful character because he is caring, and has a really good reputation, generous, which leads to the fact that he earns respect from others.
The fact that not all thanes could be as courageous and have so many heroic achievements for their countries and rulers is why Beowulf seems so ideal and extraordinary. Beowulf's many achievements told throughout the story gives him the appearance of the most faithful of thanes, who has climbed the social ladder not because he has meant to do so, but because he wishes to protect his country and others and give all the credit to its rulers. This sort of behavior gives him a kind and generous nature that can be traced to a kind of chivalry. Chivalry can also be considered a very important role in the creation of a thane's reputation and popularity. Through Beowulf's chivalry, generosity, friendship, and popularity, all of his kingdom and of others knew him for his heroism and loyalty.
The right to respect for private and family life - this means the right to live as a family. The right to dignity and being part of the community - this means you should get the care and support you need to have a good life. You should be able to join in with things in your community along with everyone else. Human rights are to help groups like councils, the police and hospitals protect you by making sure they respect your human rights. For government it means they should protect all of us from groups or individuals who would take away our rights.
To the people he is an almighty force that can’t be stopped and he appears perfect in everyway. However he is not without fault as many may think as a matter a fact two of his biggest faults may be quite common. Even with all his strength and power he still could not escape the grasps of pride and greed. Clearly mentioned multiple times in the epic is how strong and unbeatable Beowulf is. Though this is true throughout the epic he does let it kind of go to his head in a sense.
The Crucible Arthur Miller “Better to be a strong man with a weak point, than to be a weak man without a strong point. A diamond with a flaw is more valuable than a brick without a flaw.”(BrainyQuote; William J. H. Boetcker) Humans are bound to sin and make flaws all throughout their lives. The Crucible by Arthur Miller does an excellent job in exploiting this flaw. John Proctor shows us during the story that he’s an honest, proud and very strong man. This helps him find a way to cope with them may help you understand yourself more effectively.
Blair Parrott 27th December 2011 Standards 1 Show how you promote the principles and values essential for working with children, young people, their families and their careers. To ensure you have any understanding you must be aware of the unit’s ethos and adhere to their priciples. Having worked with clients for many years the most important factor I believe is the respect and understanding you are able to show an individual, and the ability to respect their individuality, difference and diversity. You need to understand that each child is different so what works for one may not work for another, you need to have patience with each child and must not push the principles at them, small steps daily I feel works better. Getting to know the person over a period of time I feel is vital, you can not push a relationship and must let it take it’s natural course whilst showing you understand the welfare needs of the individual and are able to put into practice those needs for the child.
Politics is the highest form of virtuous activity and it’s a development and improvement for the citizens. The purpose of a good man Aristotle believes is that politics is worth it for a happy men and perfect nation. He believes that men survive best in society where there are rules. Politics can fulfill their potential. Need for possession is knowledge.
I will maintain honesty, integrity, kindness and goodness as I deal with other individuals. Hard work pays, hence I will do my best in every opportunity accorded to me. I believe in the existence of a powerful supreme God, who controls the whole universe and the occurrences in it. I am subject to this God, and hence in my interactions with others I will maintain peace and harmony. Life is sacred, and I will do all in power to preserve it, while maintaining the comfort of my patients.
If the action produces happy and good consequences versus bad, then it’s the morally right action to follow. “But our calculation is not yet over, for the utilitarian principle tells us that in order for the action to be right, it must produce the greatest good for the greatest number of those affected by it.”(De George, page 47) We would need to drill down into almost every person affected by an action to completely render it morally right, the decision would need to produce the greatest amount of good. Ultimately, for Bentham there was no better man. Everyone had the opportunity in creating the greatest amount of happiness and pleasure. In his eyes, men could produce happiness for anyone involved in any
