With being extremely talented in both soccer and hockey, she needed to decide which sport she wanted to pursue in college. She ended up deciding hockey was her true passion and ended up playing at Lindenwood in Missouri. The level of hockey was not what she expected and left her unsatisfied with her decision to attend Lindenwood, a division three program. She then decided she wanted to play division one hockey. She then transferred to Niagara University and doesn’t regret a thing.
Before the final game there was a dead eerie silence in the locker room that was only broken by our coach's pep talk. He told us that we had earned the right to play by making it here and that we could beat the other team. However we all knew the other team was more skilled team than us because they could work together and we were selfish with the puck. Then with a spark of energy he said "You guys want the speech don't you?" and recited the famous speech from Miracle that would get us excited and put a smile on our faces.
As she spends more time with Hoke and learns more about him, she begins to see certain connections that she never realized before. As she displays the early phases of dementia, Miss. Daisy takes Hoke’s hand and tells him that he is her best friend, and he responds as usual, “yes, Miss. Daisy”. This scene of the movie was emotional for me because I knew as an audience, that Miss.
Leigh was very sporty and athletic with green eyes and brown golden hair and always managed to maintain an A average in her studies on top of her busy sports schedule. Julia and Leigh were both on the year book committee and the school council together. Almost every single day in and after school they were together. They always stood beside each other and stood up for one another. In the hall one day Jamie Jadestone one of the most popular girls in school came over to Julia and tried to start trouble, but to bad Julia is a smart cookie and can get herself out of bad situations she just simply said “Get out of the way” and walked on and that was in between second and third hour time and Jamie was in Julia’s next class.
It not only changes our view on Addie, but our view on the novel as a whole. Addie's voice is imparative to the reader's outlook and while we can sense it through the voices of others, her chapter best sums up her mind. So, what if Addie's chapter did not exsist? For one, we would never have comprehended her mind and the way it twists around things like how she feels about her children and husband. We would have all thought of her as still the same loving mother who watches her son, Cash, methodically build her coffin not because she is ready and wanting soon to be in it, but because he is her son and she loves to see him work.
The last song this woman played on the piano evoked strong emotions in Edna. Some sort of passion that made her cry. It ends with Robert wanting to go take a bath or something. P. 51 After the party they all went swimming. Edna had never been able to swim before but was able to now.
She was drawn to Nev’s photographs of professional dancer because she precious to be a dancer. Angela’s whole life changed when she mortal Vince and gained the obligation of his handicapped sons. But that was her choice and is no excuse for her demeanor. It somewhat tell her complete but only to a certain degree. Change of state that first picture from “Abby” and ending abstraction after that would’ve been understandable, but continuing this human relationship over eight time period with multiple paintings, and text messages, and friendly relationship must been exhausting and was wholly uncalled
This small town seems to be the ideal place to live. The children play together, the men talk together, and the women gossip together. The people are all very close and trusting of one another, giving the town the appearance of being a safe and lovely place to live. Once a year these bonds are broken as one unlucky person draws the slip of paper with the black spot from the box and is killed by everyone they loved and
During the Simon’s (Matt and Marie’s son) birthday party, there were some conversations between Kate, Daniel and Kate, Marie; Marie told Kate to face the truth that Matt’s life was not a failure, and he love his son, his family and the farm. The most important thing that bothered Matt, however, was that Kate cannot forgive Matt and cannot understand him. Daniel also has made some progress (Page 281-282); he tells Kate to look at real world too; also, Daniel point out that Kate had put the story in a place that was too heavy. Actually, Matt did not change after being a famer. He can be a scholar; however, he just found out he like farming, too.
Canadians are keeping the order there by making their lives much easier to live. Kids can go to school and that adults can go to work and come home safely. Many Canadians have risked their life for the happiness, safety, and for the innocent people in Afghanistan. The peoples life style there is much different then ours and we should all contribute to the fall of this country with the war and help our Canadian peacekeepers there that are trying to make a difference in their world. The kids are all in danger as well as the adults.
