I knew there was a trench I had to clear for the landing and I would rather overshoot it and land on flat ground then come short and land in it. As I am picking up speed my bike is roaring and I hear the rpms climb high. I put my boot under the foot shifter and lift up and the bike is still screaming but the rpms have dropped, I am accelerating very quickly now; I think to myself “There’s no turning back now”. I see the jump coming very close now and I do one more upshift to get into third. I am about 10 feet away now and I whisper to myself “I’ve got to much speed” but there’s no way I can risk breaking now, too dangerous.
I asked her the policy question- what is a foley?- of which she answered correctly. 4/10/14 She was very friendly and had no complaints about the staff or s she was working with. She mentioned that the patient census was low and that she did not know what to do on her down time. I told her as long as she finished her two rounds, it is always good to revisit patients and converse with them to keep them company. I also told them they should assist
Samantha Kemenoff Mrs. Lavorato ENG2D1-08 6 March 2014 Comparing the Short Stories The Bicycle and The Story of an Hour Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Human beings naturally wish to obtain freedom. In order to render control over one’s life, sometimes loss of relationships must occur. In the two short stories “The Bicycle” by Jillian Horton and “The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin, both include characters that experience freedom for the first time. Although both the stories relate back to freedom, they contain many similarities and differences.

Kenny, a skinny quite type who was into reading and music and me somewhere in between both socially and physically. Here we were high school buddies in our mid twenties heading down to the everglades to camp out and listen to this band Phish. Phish was tapping a nerve in America at the time. It was the same nerve the grateful dead found, but with a different generation. It was the adventure that each Phish show promised that lead us and 75,000 others down to the everglades to camp
Jerry Wexler, who was a record executive from Atlantic Records, saw the band play at a record release party and asked them to play the Montreux International Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They were the first unsigned act to play at the festival. They were booked on a jazz acoustic night, which was supposed to be soft music, but because of Stevies loud sound the crowd didn’t like it and started to boo them. As they went backstage, thinking that the show was a disaster, celebrities David Bowie and Jackson Browne happened to be in the audience. Browne asked the band if they wanted 72 hours of free studio time at his studio in L.A. Also, David Bowie asked Stevie to play on his album Let’s Dance.
I quickly started running fast, kind of like a kid who has just walked in on his parents. The demon took full charge and was right behind me. The demon took a swing and cracked me right in the head. It started to pound me as hard as an 18 year old virgin with porn. In my view I seen my car I was off the mountain.
However, despite that fear, I never imagined that I actually would. Even though it occurred quite recently, I know I'll never forget the words he said to me as I slid into the passenger seat-"Don't worry Raeanna, I'm a good driver."
I learned then that if I was around people who were doing that kind of stuff to ask them to not do it around me or to just not be around it. I knew it was the right thing to do, so I made it a point to not be around it and it was for the best. I still hang out with my friends but they had enough courtesy to not do it around

While at the party, Nick makes an attempt to find the host. However Nick’s luck only brings him to
