The Journal of Nursing Education states, “researchers found the concepts of caring and nurturance were identified as high motivators for choosing nursing” (Williams, Wertenberger, Hames, Gushuliak, 1997). At that time, I was working back office at a Urology office and was going to school. I decided one day that to be able to provide for my daughter if something were to happen between my husband and I that I could always support us. Therefore, my journey began. A Journey Amongst Friends I was fortunate enough to go to nursing school with my best friend Harley.
But, her foster parents supported her as much as they could, and encouraged her to become involved in school academics and sports to keep her active and busy. The turning point for the family came one day when Nai was sent to her middle school’s principal’s office for wearing a sleeveless shirt. The principal called Nai’s foster mom to come to the school for a meeting. Nai recalls, “When my foster mom arrived at the principal’s office, she said, ‘My daughter hasn’t done anything wrong.’ She backed me up and supported me.” It was then that Nai realized that her foster mom would, “always be there for me and support
Availability and freshness of food and herbs determined how long the shopping trip would be. She, along with help from her husband, prepared items such as herbs and onions, all week in order to be ready for her big meal on the weekend. Even though the mother prepared many dishes to serve a lot people, she prepared only the best. Mother appeared to be resentful to be constantly cooking; she didn’t do any less from week to week. All in all it appeared that she thrived on the compliments and wishes she received for her efforts.
My fiancé is my other mentor; she has worked hard for are family for over 4 years. She supported her family, raised two girls on her own and always has a cheerful outlook on life. Fuad Manuel Asfura Giraldez English 8-3 October 17, 2008 Everyone Bullies Melinda Sordino Last year a boy from the Everest school was kicked out for bullying at school, and was not accepted in some other school. This is why bullying is bad. Melinda, the main character of the novel Speak does not bully, but she is being bullied, and it practically ruins her life. Since the first day of school Melinda has been bullied by her ex-friends and other particular people. Therefore Melinda is still being bullied throughout all the ninth grade.
In my older life, and particularly within my job role, this has taught me that I can be emphatic and sympathetic towards people. I have always been interested in history, including my own family history. When I was young, I would sit for hours on end listening to grandmas stories of her own background and where she came from. This has given me a sense of my own self and has taught me how to be a good listener with the people that I care for in my working life. My parents always showed great dignity and respect for other people, their own parents, aunts, and uncles.
They did a lot of moving around, from having to live with relatives to living in government housing. Viola always dreamt of a better life not only for herself, but also for her mother and her siblings. She shared thoughts that if she were to ever be blessed financially, she was going to be a blessing to others (personal communication, May 6, 2009). Well, her opportunity to be a blessing came a few years after she married her husband who is a successful doctor. This has placed Viola in the upper middle class of society, where she no longer has to worry about finances, has both of her children in private schools, and has even purchased a home for her mother.
Harley is still attending high school with the plans of attending college. She had to learn to be responsible at a young age, but her responsibility has made her a better person and great mother. Harley has matured not just as a person, but as a strong-independent mother that would do anything for her son. The courage that has made her capable to raise her child has made her stronger emotionally. Commonly, teenagers that have children at an early age usually either drop out of high school or get their G.E.D.
She was a household (family) of twelve, that incorporated six brothers and four sisters. Being born in 1947 must have been an adventure for my mother, because of the era she was in. My mother is a well rounded person that always had good advice for everything this played an enormous role in my life. Her mother died

Throughout my 22 years of life, she has been my constant. During multiple hardships in both of our lives, we have had each others' backs. She is my best friend, who I have no problem telling my problems to because I know that she loves me. We know when to push each other to accomplish each others' goals.
