I hated to do this so as I said before, this teaches that lesson of what’s right and wrong, therefor learning civility. As I got grew up I learned something every year. In first grade I learned that when older people help younger kids out for a whole school year you can really learn a lot. We had 8th grade buddies that were there every morning waiting for us in our classroom to talk to us before the school day started. Our teachers were very old and wise so they knew that this wouldn’t just be a learning experience for the 8th graders but also the 1st.
In the article “Fear of Heights: Teachers, Parents, and Students are Wary of Achievement.” Author Bob Chase, who is president of the National Education Association pointed that teachers and parents should more worried about the students who involved in many extracurricular activities after school. He called these students are the “C” students. We know in all of the school teachers like the “A” students because they concentrate in class, serious write notes and review, all of the test result are also very good. Instead, the “C” students very busy every day. Since they into the class, they don't stop talking, send messages and also have a lot of function in school clubs.
Not everyone wants that much help! Teachers, quit making me take notes all the time! There are certain teachers that will grade you on your notes, calling it a participation grade. That has got to be the biggest load of crap I've ever heard! Many kids like myself are blessed with the capability to understand and remember things just by actively participating in the class discussion and listening to their teachers.
This happens all night and it's very annoying and hard to ignore. It is understandable that Cottingham is a dorm where students can have fun after class, but the noise level should be at a minimum after 10:00 pm. Students should respect others once the quiet period has begun. During the night, upstairs on the 3rd floor the students, which are freshman, are moving furniture all night and this makes it difficult to fall asleep. It also sounds like they are running down the hall throughout the night and slamming the door leading to the stairs loudly.
The school system has not changed in the last few decades. In his essay, “School’s Out,” Daniel Pink explains that, “Most schools I’ve visited in the 21st century look and feel exactly like the public schools in the 1970’s” (Holt, pg. 88.) When I walked through the halls of my high school when I was a freshman I could see the history of the past students, on desks, on chairs even on some old bathroom stalls, so his statement is very accurate. It seems that when everything from grocery stores to banks, to even hospitals has small differences to them, but the schools stay the same.
People like teachers, doctors, policemen, and firemen are important. Being someone’s maid or cook doesn’t really get you far in life. In Maya Angelou’s graduating class there were only a few kids graduating and moving on to high school. In Hillside, New Jersey, over 90 percent of students graduate from every grade level and can go to any college they choose. There’s also this program called “ No child left behind” that’s supposed to allow kids who are slower when it comes to learning be able to catch up with the rest of their classmates and move on to the next level of education That’s how schools in 2013 is different from school in the 1940’s we are an integrated nation with the ability to be what we want and have a chance to expand our
The Pledge of Allegiance has always been a part of my daily routine as a high school student. It’s a requirement that each morning the teachers make us stand up and put our hands over our hearts. Of course, they tell us it’s our choice to say it. But, who is not going to join in when all of their classmates around them are reciting those few lines? It’s just so easy to join in with the crowd than actually stand up for what you think is right.
Yes, of course you have your meetings and test to go do inside the school lab, but you still have your independence. There are many kids that can not work right because what their teacher is in the same room, some worry about what the teacher is always thinking. Either they are worrying what their peers are thinking or how they are judging you. With online you can do everything by yourself, when you need help and you can not go to the lab right at the moment you can email, or mail message on the virtual profile site. Another option is to text, all kids love to text, so when you need support and quick response you can just text your teacher.
Like in elementary you only have open class and one teacher, but in middle school you have multiple classes and teachers. Middle school is a miniature step of high school. Children have to prepare for college and there goals after school. Some positive outcomes of a child attending school are 1. Going to class everyday on time.
Life of a student is a very stressful one, as you drag yourself to school around 7:40 you desperately try to find friends that have completed a large sum of the mound of homework we were given the day before. Everyone lines themselves in the hallways trying to urgently scribble down answers. It comes to a point when you don’t even care if they are right or wrong as long as there is something there. The bell becomes your enemy, it is the sound of, “your screwed, ” blaring through your ears. Everybody
