This title is exactly what describes the book. The book explains concepts of stress that include the inverted U hypothesis which is a tool to measure stress. It also features what causes stress, the physical symptoms of it, and the defense mechanisms of stress. This also includes the concept of the Safe Surrogate Release which is an enjoyable physical activity to release stress in a healthy way. In the end I state what I have learned from this book. It helps me a lot in understanding what is going on with my body under stressful situations. Also, Thompson gives a lot of examples of real life scenarios of what stress can do to us and our life. He also gives lots of advice on how to handle stressful situations and how to release that negative energy in a healthy way that will not affect our life in a negative way.
