They are both school, but private schools are better than public schools. Private schools have a better environment, the parents care more about their children’s future and the teachers push their students to reach for a higher potential. In public schools the environment is not in good shape, parents are not interested in their children’s future, and the teachers do not push their student to reach their potential. We can clearly see the difference between these schools in the movies “A Dead Poets Society” and “Stand And Deliver.” The school in “A Dead Poets Society,” is every taken care of and the one in “Stand and Deliver” is not. “A Dead Poets Society” school is beautiful, clean, and in very good condition. There is no trash on the school grounds, the grass is green and cut, the plants are trimmed nicely, the building looks brand new, the paint on the school looks fresh, and it is not surrounded by gates. In “Stand And Deliver,” the school looks poorly taken care of. There is trash around the school, the plants are not trimmed, the school looks very old, and surrounded by gates. Also the paint on the building is peeling off and the color is fading away. Image is an important part of a school and clearly the second school doesn’t care about their image. A good school does not need to be surrounded by gates everywhere. Students do not feel like going to a school that looks poor. It makes it seem that is not strict and with gates surrounding it proves that because students ditch class. Just like the environment is important so is the support from the parents.
