A Beautiful Place I Once Knew

Where is your place of perfect beauty or loveliness? I have seen mine on the coast of the Galveston, Texas Beach while visiting my grandpa when I was younger. I have been to other coast lines before, but nothing compares to the beauty of what I once remembered. The emerald green water seemed to change to different shades of blue as the dancing liquid flowed toward the horizon, making it hard to decipher where the water ended and the skyline began.(Personification) The beach was untouched by mankind and ready for a long day. It awaits the thousands of humans who will parade across its soft textured surface. The ripples of color sparkled like diamonds under the sunshine, and as the waves started to break they looked like white snow caps on a mountain.(Simile) The scattering seagulls, were so pretty swooping down for the feisty fish. (Alliterature) I closed my eyes for a moment before fully approaching the beach, and I thought to myself, “could life get any better than this?” I am certain that everyone has their own version of heaven on earth; after all we are all unique individuals. To someone else the Galveston Coast might just be another coast line. As for me, from the warm golden sand beach to the invigorating water, I would describe the Galveston Coast as my paradise. It was a beautiful day to spend at the beach, a warm 86 degrees and the cool gulf breeze blowing. I grabbed my beach chair and cooler, and headed for the sands. I walked toward the water to set up my chair. As I neared the edge I noticed the color of the sand changed to slight silver, somewhat like the color of a worn out nickel.( Metaphor) The wet sand felt different, cool on my feet, and slightly rough. I stood for a moment feeling the waves of water recede over the shore line. As each wave retreated I could feel the sand slipping through my toes like granules of sugar. I stood
