Abortion Methods
Abortion is one of the most controversial issues discussed today. Some people believe that abortion is a woman’s right, and that it is acceptable. These people fall into the category of pro-choice. The other groups of people that believe abortion is completely wrong are people that are in favor of pro-life. Abortion is the act of destroying an un-born fetus in a woman’s womb. This issue has caused a great commotion in the world. Many women are still doing it now and put their life in danger. I will be describing some of the methods used to have an abortion: Methods that some women seek that are herbal or surgical to perform an abortion.
The abortion procedure is the surreal killing of a baby. When examined, the brutality of what is occurring is obvious. Abortion will always result in the taking of an innocent life through a variety of means. In the privacy of the mother’s womb, the baby’s body is torn apart, poisoned, vacuumed out, has his brain removed, or a similarly inhuman method. These procedures do not describe some sort of noble right being practiced. Some woman use the herbal way because they see it as being natural and not needing any type of doctor interaction. These are the seven main types of abortion currently used in the United States.
Suction Curettage method makes up about 80% of all abortions. It is used during the first through the third month of pregnancy. The procedure takes about fifteen minutes. First, the cervix is dilated using dilator rods. Then, a powerful suction tube is inserted through the cervix into the womb. This is used to suck the developing baby and placenta into a jar. The head, however, is too large to be sucked out and must instead be crushed and then extracted.
Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) method is used during the fourth through the eighth month of pregnancy. The cervix is dilated using laminaria (seaweed) and dilator rods. Forceps are inserted and used to twist and tear the...
