When it talks in the category of metaphor, sex is utilitarian, the expressions young people used to refer to ‘having sex’ included phrases such as, “putting Colgate on a toothbrush” or “opening a girl”. Girls referred to female genitalia by saying, “they are like doors”. Young people’s analysis about numerous sexual partnerships were expressed via opinions such as, “It is good to have a spare tire; if one gets flat, just fix the other,” or: “Girls say, you don’t need to have one cloth only.” On the other hand, these examples reveal that the adolescents’ metaphorical language emphasized the utility of female genitalia as an item which – much like a suitcase or a set of doors – may be opened, entered through, or exited from. Why is it, no double implication deliberately intended, so hard?

To be brutally honest with you, I have to admit that I am as clueless as most young people of today with issues related to adolescent health which essentially talks about sex that affects an individual or greater entity in the society. The deafening and almost disgusting endless issues of corruption, poverty, social seclusion and injustice have unfortunately lost my faith in our government and politics. And well today, ironically, I am task to talk about an important matter that adheres to the call of world association of girls and young women on the importance of sex on which strained me to do substantial research with the internet and friends.




Let me first articulate about the 4th key message of what girls worldwide say that it is important to talk about sex. A survey confirmed that a third of girls first told by their parents about sex. However, 38% receive no formal sex education in their state; eventually, 85 % feel more comfortable talking to girls about it on their on age and 61% wanted to make up their own minds about when to have an intimate relationships and not be persuaded by their own peers.
