To most people they hear the word Satanism and they automatically think devil worshiper, but this is not the case. Satanism represents man, not the devil. To them man is his own god, he selects his own destiny. Satanist believe in indulgence not compulsion. They believe that man should not have to fight his natural needs and wants. Satanist are your everyday people, they are not murders or psycho, in fact if they were they would be breaking the ninth and tenth of the eleven satanic rules if this were true. Lucifer comes from the roman term bearer of light. In the satanic religion man does not have to sell his soul to the devil. This tactic was used prevent man from straying away from Christianity. Satanist do not represent evil, but represent an existence for life.
A Satanist believes that “the concept of “God”, as interpreted by man, has been so varied throughout the ages, that the Satanist simply accepts the definition which suites him best(LaVey, 2005, p40)”. To them God is a higher being that is being that was created by man because man needs ritual and dogma. If the Satanist does something wrong he does not prey, but he learns from it. If the Satanist is truly sorry then he will learn from it and not do it again, but if he is not then he will continue to do it. The Satanist does not believe preying makes things better, because you do not learn from it and will most likely do it again.
Satanist embrace the seven deadly sins which are: greed, pride, envy, anger, lust, sloth, and gluttony. These seven deadly sins lead to emotional, physical, and mental satisfaction. Mans natural instinct is to sin and when the church realized this they created the original sin. The Satanist believes that you break one if not all of theses sins every day. The church as we know it is beginning to slip away from the tradition to keep up with mans natural change. The times are changing and so is man, the Satanist sees this and embraces in mans...
