In the largest continent there are two cities famous for their tourism as well as their
economy- Seoul and Bangkok, both of them are the main commercial centre capital of
their countries. Despite the differences they have for their own features, they still have
some similarities to share with each other. This report will point out how
they are different and similar term of in histories, locations, climate, population and economy.
These two cites show their differences in histories and location .Bases on a longer
history, Seoul is older approxiamative four hundred years than Bangkok, Seoul was
found in 1394 and Bangkok was found in 1782. Lying 22 kms from the river’s mouth,
Bangkok located on the banks of Chao Phraya River, while about 3 kms from the Port of
Inchon, Seoul located on north western South Korea on banks of the Han River.
The population numbers make them more different.Occupying 1562 sq km with seven
million five hundred thousand, Bangkok is a comfortable place to live than Seoul with 627 sq km and population of over ten million .
The gap between features of these two cities become wider in climate. With tropical
climate, Bangkok has only two seasons in a year -wet and dry season , while Seoul with
continental climate has distinct season - warm summer and cold winter. Bangkok has
the temperature fluctuation in the range of 25o and 30o while Seoul ‘s is - 3o and 25o .
Going along with differences, these two cities also have features in common. Both cities
have the majority in native speakers and the rest is many other people mostly in Vietnamese. Both of them also play the main role in economy with finance and trade.
